Nokia RM-941 passes through FCC with AT&T bands, WVGA resolution - Lumia 625?

FCC Lumia

After we've seen the RM-877 (possibly the highly anticipated EOS) pass through FCC, the RM-941 has since followed through. The Nokia device passed through with support for AT&T's GSM 850 and 1900 bands and will feature a WVGA display. While we're not seeing LTE capabilities in the US, such frequencies are believed to be included outside these two regions.

The RM-941 is capable of the following: GSM/GPRS/EGPRS900, GSM/GPRS/EGPRS1800, WCDMA900, WCDMA2100, LTE845 (Band 20), LTE1800 (Band 3), and LTE2500 (Band 7), but as noted above this is for those of us who reside outside the US and Canada (possibly the RM-943). Nokia has also included Dual Transfer Mode, a feature that takes advantage of the multi-slot GPRS capability and enables simultaneous transmission of voice and data.

Could the RM-941 and RM-943 be variants of a rumoured Lumia 625? We'll have to wait and see for more details to emerge. One thing is clear, between Samsung, HTC and Nokia, a "refresh" of Windows Phone 8 devices is just over the horizon this summer.

Zeroplanetz says:

Wouldn't all carriers want to push for lte bands on there phones? How can they expect people to have the same experience for cell service if its all over the place. I dunno but that's the way I think.

zultar says:

ATT version of the 520?

trwrt says:

Isn't the 520 HVGA?

EDIT: it appears I am incorrect.  As Emily Litella would say, "never mind".

Dadstar0410 says:

C'mon, HTC. I know you're planning something great. I wanna see what you got!

aitt says:

Surprised my tip about the Quad Core Nokia benchmark test never got posted...http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/nokias-first-quad-core-mobile-devic...

*shrugs*

Why not 600? Ugh.

I love windows phones, but it always annoys me how we are always one step behind. Once WP got dual core and 720p, android got quad and octa core and 1080p. I would like to be with or ahead the current technology, not behind.

nube_android says:

That's the power of being open.

HM02 says:

I used to think HTC and Samsung made too many phones all the time, but I was wrong.
Nokia makes a new Lumia like every other week. Jesus Christ.

Spedez says:

Arrogant US carriers want their own variants from global models. I guess they refuse to sell global models for some weird reason.

n3psydaz says:

Lol. Agreed.

aitt says:

There's only like what 6 Lumia phones...

HM02 says:

Lumia 510, 520, 521, 610, 620, 710, 720, 800, 810, 820, 822, 900, 920, 925, 928... Am I missing any?

aitt says:

Most of those are simply variants. Not to include last year's model phone...

HM02 says:

They're sitll new ones. I mean how many of those variants do they release so close to each other that are actually necessary?

505 (for mexico)

BUT, most are either old WP 7.5 devices or variants of the same device

the main devices in most countries are the 520, 620, 720, 820, 920, 925 (which is a 920 replacement)

the number of devices is perfect, not too much or too little

aitt says:

Exactly. Thank you.

Why is AT&T always getting all the exciting, colorful phones?....(retorical/scarcastic question)
