Samsung ATIV S Windows Phone 'coming soon' to Phones 4u

Samsung ATIV S

Phones 4u is expected to be stocking the Samsung ATIV S, according to its 'coming soon' arrivals page. The Windows Phone was recently unveiled at IFA 2012 in Berlin, where Samsung announced a number of Microsoft products alongside its Android arsenal of devices. Featuring a dual-core CPU, 16GB or 32GB storage, 1GB RAM, 8MP shooter and a 4.8" HD display, the ATIV S is a beastly Windows Phone.

Phones 4u has displayed strong support for Windows Phone with exclusives galore from Nokia - namely the Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 white and batman editions. The retailer will now be sporting the Samsung ATIV S in its collection, and we'd like to make the assumption that Phones 4u will also partner with Nokia to release the soon-to-be-announced Lumia 820 and / or 920.

Question being - will you be purchasing the Samsung ATIV S?

Source: Phones 4u; thanks, Henrique, for the heads up!

I remember as a kid when my mom always told me "soon", well soon was a long f"cking time. I hope this isn't "mommy-soon".

MattLFC says:

It's going to be £429 SIM-free, but it will only be available on contract to start with. Release date is 15th October. :-)

I feel sad for Sprint customers that like WP. I really do.

I'm in the UK. Been using Blackberry for 3 1/2 years now. Time to jump ship. I am not prepared to see what they have in BB10 in January. My contract ends at the end of the month and I am going to wait and get this phone. It's just strikingly amazing and sleek. I like the leaked pics of the nokia 920 but I don't care - I'm having this phone from Phones4U for sure. Can't wait to learn a new OS as well.

Montpbm says:

I can't wait to buy this phone!!!!

Jsybird2532 says:

...You know, looking at this picture, I feel like SAMESUNG hasn't learned their lesson from the recent court decision.  If you look at the bezel and the sides of the phone, it clearly looks a bit like an iPhone 3/3GS with Windows Phone 8 controls stamped on it.
Samsung, seriously, don't tarnish Windows Phone, take your iphone copies somewhere else!

Seriously; as the first revealed WP8 phone you'd think they'd wanna make at least a little more innovative. Didn't they learn their lesson?

Arsenic17 says:

If all Nokoa had to bring to the table is the 920, I think I will be getting the ATIV, as I currently have the 900...i don't plan on buying a rehashed 900. Also I still have a special place In my heart for Samsung

GMJeff says:

This phone falls right in line with their line of focus devices for WP, so yes, I think I will upgrade from my focus s and it's paltry 4.3" screen to this GS3 clone.

And for the copying comment a couple of users back. Samsung was guilty of copying the look on it's older devices, the newer ones don't even fall into that category. They lost almost entirely due to the software aspect.
