Howdy, folks! This is a rather special From the Forums as the Windows Phone Central team is currently at CES 2013 absorbing as much related technology news as possible from the booths and shows on the floor. Be sure to stay tuned to our feeds and main website for all the headlines that will trickle out from the event. So that's the main site, but what's been happening on our forum?

If you're still wondering how well the optical stabilization works on the Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone, we ran across a video using the Lumia 920 as an action cam over in the Windows Phone Central Forums.

According to the discussion, Windows Phone Central reader Allen Balkema strapped his Lumia 920 to his helmet and took it out for a spin through the woods on his four-wheeler. While the helmet mount didn't place the Lumia 920 at the best angle, you can tell from the video that the optical stabilization worked nicely.

Balkema feels that the Lumia 920's video performance was smoother than what he's seen from the GoPro HD Hero 2 action camera. You can catch the full fourteen minute video in this WPCentral.com Forums discussion.

Thanks, Allen, for sharing!

Howdy, folks! Welcome to a relatively quiet From the Forums. We hope you've all had a superb day with family and friends. Fortunately, activity on our community forum doesn't appear to show signs of decrease, even up and around the festive holiday. So what's been happening on our forum, while the news has been taking a short break?

It's always a busy time on our community forum, but momentum is still rolling strong with Windows Phone 8 pushing in multiple markets. So what's been happening on our forums?

It has been an eventful week with Nokia's recent Deadmau5 partnership to bring more Lumia love to London, UK. We managed to turn up and boogie with other attendees while seeing how the Lumia 920 coped with low lighting, high volume levels and bags of movement. As well as a number of news stories appearing on the radar, our Windows Phone forum has been busy as always.

Welcome to a special edition of From the Forums. Why so special, you ask? Because it's the first FTF since our huge forum upgrade that was pushed out recently. We've raised the bar with our website upgrade and redesign, so it was only right that our community forums received the same treatment. So, what's been happening on the top Windows Phone forums?

And we are BACK! After a few hours of planned downtime, we successfully pushed out a major upgrade to Windows Phone Central's forums tonight. The best Windows Phone community keeps on getting better! In addition to a ton of feature and design enhancements, we also reorganized the structure of the forums to make them more friendly to both new and existing members, and casual visitors browsing the forums while logged out.

The dust is still settling and we have some tweaks and finishing touches left to do over the next couple of days, but the forums are back online and can be put to use. If you come across any bugs or notice anything that seems out of whack, please be sure to report them on our WPCentral Forums Upgrade Bug Reporting thread. Keep reading for an overview of what's new, then hit the forums and take a tour. We're sure you'll love what you see!

As we covered in our round-up of today's Windows Phone event, Microsoft has been an extremely busy bee indeed. Our Windows Phone forums have also been fairly active lately, particularly when our main website went down for some surprise maintenance. So what's new in the community?
