Memory Battle Time isn't your typical memory challenge game for our Windows Phone.  Memory Battle Time is a card matching game that tests your memory but along with the traditional game play where you find matching pairs of cards Memory Battle Time also has levels of play where you find matching pairs based on association (e.g. tennis ball matches with tennis racket, baseball with baseball mitt).

To add to the challenge, Memory Battle Time will also test your speed skills in that each level is played on the clock.

Graphics gets the job done, there's definitely plenty of challenging game play and overall... Memory Battle Time is a fun Windows Phone game to spend a little time.

If you're looking for a casual game for your Windows Phone, take a gander at Way of Dodo.

It's a simple game where you are tasked with bouncing dodo birds back to safety. You're racing the clock to see how high of a score you can reach and the longer you last, the faster the pace of the game becomes.

There's not much to Way of Dodo but it's not a bad time waster for your Windows Phone.

We first mentioned Dark Lands a few months ago. It's an action/adventure game for our Windows Phone that is being developed by Mingle Games and is one of the many projects associated with the Microsoft/Nokia sponsored AppCampus.

Dark Lands is an infinity running game that also has elements of a fighting and RPG game. A battle runner game if you will.

We have been given access to the beta version of Dark Lands and it makes a very admirable first impression. Graphics are well drawn up, game play challenging, and controls nicely responsive. It's a fast paced game that should appeal to many.

Toilet People is a board game available for both Windows Phone 8 and 7.x devices. The game has 3D graphics and supports up to four players in pass/play fashion. If you're short on human players, computer opponents will help fill the gap.

Toilet People isn't a bad game for your Windows Phone with a simple objective, make it from the starting point to the finish first. However, there are enough twists and challenges in between those two points to make the game interesting.

Toilet People has nice graphics, game play interesting, and while the Windows Phone game may not appeal to everyone, there is a trial version available to give the game a try before committing to the purchase.

Icomania is a Windows Phone trivia game that caught our eye due to its minimalistic artwork. While the game is eye appealing, it's not without challenge though.

You are presented a picture representative of a movie, actor or character and you simply have to fill in the blanks. Icomania is an entertaining option for those seeking a trivia game for their Windows Phone.

Hexzul is a fairly new Windows Phone 8 puzzle game that may kick you to the curb. The game has a Tetris feel to it with a little bit of a Tempest appearance.

Hexzul is a matching game that has thousands of levels to tackle and puzzles to solve. The game pace quickens as you advance, increasing the challenge to the point of almost being frustrating.

If you are looking for a fast pace game that will test your skills of logic, observation and speed Hexzul may just fit the bill.

Fly Johnny Fly is a Windows Phone game that would appeal to the Mythbuster in all of us. The object of the game with Fly Johnny Fly is to use various explosive devices to hurl a crash test dummy, that would be Johnny, through an obstacle course.

Fly Johnny Fly has more than eight different explosive, rockets and jet packs to hurl the dummy around your Windows Phone screen. You have more than fifty levels of play (fifty-eight to be exact) and the levels have everything from spinning wheels of death to rolling boulders that will try to ruin your day and prevent you from completing the course.

Fly Johnny Fly is a unique, entertaining game for your Windows Phone that has its fair share of challenges and is well worth trying.

Despicable Me fans have a relatively new Windows Phone game available that features the little yellow minions. Minions Space Battle is a Galaga styled arcade game where you battle minion against minions.

While not an official Minions game, Minions Space Battle has potential. The opening screen is a giggle loop from the minions that will make most grin and game play isn't too bad with a moderate pace.

Minions Space Battle could use a little fine tuning but as is, it's worth a try.

Scoundrels is a turn based board game for your Windows Phone with a slight role playing game feel to it. You compete against other players to discover treasure before they do.

Along the way you have monsters to deal with and traps to avoid as well as your opponent. Scoundrels is more of a tactical/strategy game than an action game so don't expect a lot of fast paced game play. Scoundrels isn't without appeal but may be more of an acquired taste when it comes to Windows Phone games.

Heroes of Mythology is a beat 'em up styled game where you play the role of mythology heroes battling an endless supply of enemy hordes.

With Heroes of Mythology the choice of hero comes down to either Hercules or Achilles. You earn gold as you slay the enemy that can be used in the game's store and with each wave of bad guys, things get a little more dicey.

Heroes of Mythology is a Windows Phone game well suited for the times you are in the mood for a straight forward, battle game.

When it comes to gaming on mobile devices, there are two groups: the hardcore and the casual gamer. Our in house gamer Paul Acevedo falls into the former category, where I, your humble Editor, prefer the latter. Gaming for me is something I do for a few minutes here and there, with nary a thought on nailing those achievements.

That’s why Armed Strike, for Windows Phone 7.x and 8, has piqued my interest. It reminds me of the classic game ‘1942’ but updated for 2013. For one, it scrolls to the side (instead of up) and the graphics are quite tantalizing. It’s also that whole World War II plane thing, though it doesn’t look like you can do a flying loop.

Link is a formidable puzzle game for your Windows Phone where you must shift tiles about in an effort to build a connection between two colored dots.  The game reminds me of the sliding tile puzzle games where you have to shift the tiles into place to complete a picture.

With Link you can shift tiles horizontally and vertically to create the connection but keep in mind, as you shift one tile, the others are effected.  Some puzzles can be solved in a few moves while others are more involved.

There's not many bell and whistles to Link but the game really doesn't need many to keep you entertained. If you're looking for an enjoyable, challenging puzzle game for your Windows Phone Link might just fit the bill.

You can add Zombie Village as one of the many gaming titles making the move to Windows Phone. The game has had some success over on iOS and Android platforms and in just tinkering with the game for a short time, it comes across as a nice time waster of a game.

Zombie Village throws you into a village over run with...well...zombies. Your task, as is the case with most zombie games, is to kill as many zombies as possible before they eat your brains.  If you're into the zombie genre of games or just looking for a new game for your Windows Phone, Zombie Village is worth a try.

Tank War 3D is a Windows Phone combat game that puts you in the role of tank commander with the mission to obliterate all the enemy tanks.  Tank Wars 3D has potential with over sixty missions to keep things from going stale too quickly, upgradeable tanks, and challenging game play.  But two things hold this game back, annoying ads and really small fonts that can make some of the screen difficult to read.

Another oddity is that the Windows Phone Store title is "Tank War 3D" but the gaming screens use the title "Tank Rivals".  Not exactly sure why the inconsistency is present but we'll go with the game's title that is listed in the Store.  Overall, Tank War 3D is worth a try.  The small print may not be an issue with some but the developer really needs to tame those full page ads.
