VLC for Windows RT UI mockups published

The VLC team has published two more mockups in a Kickstarter update post so those who are planning to back the project can see exactly which direction they're heading down. The project is to bring VLC to Windows RT and Windows Phone, which would prove to be a massive bonus for those on either platform who rely on the media player.

The VLC team has updated its Kickstarter project page with an announcement on how progress is currently being made for both Windows 8 Windows Phone 8. While the roadmap is currently focused on Windows 8 and RT, the Windows Phone version is found to be much more feasible than previously thought.

What could be better than having a little bit of Windows Phone 8 goodness strapped to your wrist? If the Kickstarter project Gnomio ever comes to fruition then we might just get a device that works via Bluetooth to send alerts for all kinds of things to your watch.

The devices are purportedly being ranged in some Windows Phone 8 friendly hues called the Gnomio Fresh or a sturdier metal finished ‘Strong’ variant. Could this be the ultimate Windows Phone accessory?

The popular media player VLC is setting its sights on Windows 8 and beyond. The developers are calling for donations to be sent forward to fund further development into hiring third-party aid. This will help create a top quality experience on Microsoft's latest platforms. At the time of writing the project has a backing of £4,532 pledged so far with 252 donators.
