While we ramp up for the launch of Windows 8 next week there is still a fair few questions about pricing for Lumia devices.

Someone has spotted the Lumia 820 going for the sum of £379.99 on a system. As with all such pre-pricing, this could be fact or fiction as nothing has actually been revealed on pricing as yet.

Nokia has published its financial results for Q3 2012, which shows the interesting position the company has found itself in. Smartphone sales have fallen drastically, as well as net sales from the division. Likely down to the imminent Windows Phone 8 release and new Lumia family of smartphones, Nokia experienced a 56 percent drop in net sales. In Q2 the company shipped 4 million Lumia devices, a steep decrease indeed.

Looks like Nokia might be set to have a big announcement in early November for Russia, perhaps to showcase the Lumia 920 Windows Phone.  Or maybe the Lumia 820?

Not much is said about what’s to be expected but the invite does reveal some clues.

Nokia is rightly pushing photography as the big draw for the next generation of Lumia devices. The Lumia 920 has seen a barrage of OIS video and night photography tests. So it doesn’t leave much to the imagination when we get an invite with a girl taking a photo and a bat in the background. Not too subtle a reference really but we get it.

German retailer Media Markt has listed both the Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 on its website with release dates of November 1st. Both Windows Phones are expected to be made available on that day, should the reported date hold true, and will be priced at €449 (approx. £360) and €649 (approx. £520) respectively.

Update: It seems Media Markt has bumped the date from November 1st to November 15th. This change has occured the same day a German Vodafone store stated on its Facebook page that they will be stocking the Lumia Windows Phone 8 handsets at the start of November. We'll have to see if the date sticks. Thanks, Schneppe, for spotting the alteration!

Midway through last week we saw the first real pictures of Verizon's upcoming Nokia Lumia 822 and then heading into the weekend learned a little more about it. Now, a posting over at the FCC reveals that the Lumia 822, may have checked in for certification. A filing for a device known simply as the RM-845 has cropped up with similar measurements to the Nokia Lumia 820, which the 822 is modeled after, and sporting Verizon's CDMA and LTE frequency bands. It also shows a MicroSD slot, which distinguishes it from other Nokia WP8 devices, like the Lumia 920.

The RM-845 is listed as having both NFC as well as quad-band HSPA 3G for international roaming. It may not be the flagship Nokia phone that people were hoping Verizon would get, but it's certainly a good first step. There hasn't been any concrete timetable announced, but with the likely Lumia 822 now in the hands of the FCC, we could possibly see it in time for Microsoft's October 29 launch of Windows Phone 8.

The Nokia Lumia 810 product page is now displayed on the T-Mobile US website. The device, an exclusive variation of the Lumia 820 available on AT&T, is on its way to the carrier but no pricing is yet available. The listing states the Lumia 810 is "coming soon" but we're yet to see any information on availability or how much it'll cost consumers.

We had a quick look at the Lumia 810, which sports a 4.3” OLED WVGA Clear Black display at 800x480 with an 8MP rear as well as a 1.2-megapixel Skype HD certified front-facing camera. In addition, T-Mobile will offer to interchangeable back overs in black or cyan. Hopefulyl we'll have more information soon.

We recently ran a few polls to help us gauge what you thought of the Lumia 810 v the 820 and what Lumia 920 colour you’d be going for.

We have all had much to digest in the last month or so, new models, specs, colours and even variations on a theme. If these polls are anything to go by it looks like your choices  aren’t easy to predict. Read on to see how it breaks down.

Lumia 800 is the Wolverine?

We’re not sure which Nokia Lumia we see in the above pic, captured for Hugh Jackman’s upcoming ‘The Wolverine’ sequel, but that metal Carl Zeiss strip certainly gives it away.

What is odd about it of course is the color (drab green) and the flash position (it’s on the top as opposed to being adjacent). For those reasons, we’re not sure if we’re looking at a prototype, something just for the movie, an odd looking case or something else. In fact, we can’t say much more though we’ll leave some sleuthing to you folks in comments to try and deduce something. [Edit: And yes, it looks to be the Lumia 800 as that is the only one with the flash like that.]

Late last week we wrote in length about the unwarranted uproar caused by the AT&T exclusive Nokia announcements. At the centre of the controversy was the notion that there would not be a Nokia Windows Phone 8 device coming to Verizon. [Actually, it was about them not getting the Lumia 920 -Ed.]

We could be seeing the first signs of life from the coming Nokia refresh for Verizon as The Verge reports, via @evkleaks, on this Atlas device.

Today T-Mobile announced the Lumia 810, a version of the Lumia 820 that'll be heading to the US carrier. While many would simply assume it's a mere codename alteration, don't be fooled into thinking the same. The Lumia 810 does sport some differentiations that space the device out from AT&T's second Lumia Windows Phone 8 offering.

Because the Lumia 810 is set to arrive in a matter of weeks, we figured it would be a perfect opportunity for discussion to spark. A forum has been designated for threads to be created that cover the new Windows Phone.

Nokia's Windows Phone 8 line-up

We've seen Nokia poke fun at Samsung in the past by welcoming the company back to Windows Phone, as well as attacking its Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5 marketing campaign. Nokia has failed to show signs of ceasing, and now the Finnish manufacturer has taken to Twitter in Italy to slam competing manufacturers and boast the specifications of the Lumia 920. The flagship Windows Phone is the company's bottled hopes and dreams running Microsoft's next generation mobile operating system.

Swisscom, a major telecommunications provider in Switzerland, has announced via Twitter the carrier will be looking to launch the Lumia 920 late-November, which has been pushed back from earlier reported dates. According to WParea.de, the Nokia Windows Phone was originally slated for mid-November availability with December being the month when the smartphone hits the Swisscom stores.

Unfortunately the tweet that was published earlier today doesn't contain any further information on ordering or pricing.
