While Microsoft’s 12 Days of Deals promotions may have had a few bumps along the way, it had some rather nice savings opportunities.  The promotion draws to a close today with savings on the HP Envy 15 laptop, which is regularly priced at $899.

The deal begin at 7am PST/10am EST online and at participating Microsoft Stores (US/Canada).  The first twenty customers at the retail stores and the first one hundred online customers can snag the Envy for $499.  Once that allotment is exhausted, the laptop will be on sale for $699 while supplies last.

Update: It appears the sales price for the JBL J55 Headphones is $29.95 while supplies last.

Update 2:  The $29.95 sales price was the door buster price.  The sales price has jumped to $49.95, while remaining supplies last.

Day Eleven has arrived for Microsoft’s 12 Days of Deals promotion with the savings spotlight being cast on the JBL J55 On-Ear Headphones.  It may not be as exciting of a deal as yesterday’s free AT&T Nokia Lumia 1520, but if you are in the market for a Bluetooth speaker, it could save you a few bucks.

As with all the 12 Days of Deals specials, the sale begins at 7am PST/10am EST.  We expect the first twenty customers at participating Microsoft Stores (US/Canada) and the first one hundred online customers should be able to pick the JBL Headphones for a steal of a price.  After the initial door buster deals are gone, the headphones will be priced at a considerable savings while supplies last.

Update: It appears the door buster and $99 deal is in-store only. The promotional material did not make that distinction until the pricing was listed online.  You can still save a little online though.  The price of the off-contract model has dropped $100 to $449 and you will receive the $50 gift card and a free download for Halo Spartan Assault.

Today is one of the larger deal days in the Microsoft Store’s 12 Days of Deals promotion.  Today you can pick up the AT&T Nokia Lumia 1520 Windows Phone for a steal if you are fast enough.

It can be a rarity to walk into a retail store and discover a rep who actually knows about the full spectrum of technology they are selling, at the Microsoft store though – this is no problem. Not only do Microsoft Stores showcase knowledgeable reps, but they also showcase those who can drop a sick beat with the Surface Music Kit.

The Microsoft Store’s 12 Days of Christmas Deals kicked off yesterday with some serious discounts on the Dell Venue 8 Pro Windows 8 tablet. During Monday’s deal, the first 20 people at the Microsoft Store could purchase the Venue 8 Pro for only $99. Everyone after that had the option to buy it for $199 until stock ran out.

We already posted a photograph of one Microsoft Store’s Venue Pro line yesterday in our article about the leaked 12 Days of Deals schedule. But it also happens that I was on-hand at the Houston Microsoft Store to check out the promotion. Head past the break to learn just what Houston-area Microsoft fans experienced at the sale, shopping tips for the rest of the 12 Days of Deals, and whether I ended up with a cheap Venue 8 Pro or not!

The Microsoft Store application for Windows Phone was just updated to version 2.3. The change log describes improved customer experience in the catalog, but we're having a hard time agreeing. It’s still a little slow and confusing to use. For example, there’s no category for phones. You also need to use search to find Nokia Lumia devices.

The new version 2.3 now also displays ratings and reviews for products, as well as letting you add shortcuts to your favorite categories.
