BoxTV (www.boxtv.com) is an online video service in India, which serves the latest Bollywood, Hollywood and regional movies, TV shows and premium video content in one place. Essentially, the service from Times Internet fills a critical void due to the absence of services like Hulu and Netflix in the region.

CineTube is a simply laid out movie player for Windows Phone 8 that taps into full-length movies that are freely available over on YouTube.

CineTube has a bit of appeal but also could use a little refinement.  It is worth a try but don't expect to see any current blockbuster hits listed.  However, you may find an older movie title that is just as entertaining.

Back on October 30th, we reported that the popular ticketing site Fandango had their app removed from the Windows Phone Store. The reason? Terrible reviews and a non-functioning app will evidently get you in hot trouble with your customers, so either Fandango yanked it or Microsoft did. Nevertheless, users of the service were out of luck, right when Windows Phone was hitting its stride.

Luckily for us, the app is back tonight on the Store. Version 1.6 has returned with Windows Phone 8 support (and gone is anything for Windows Phone 7.x, which was probably the culprit). We haven’t seen much in the way of updates for Fandango, in fact, the last one was back in April…2012.

Blinkbox (www.blinkbox.com) is a on-demand movie streaming service, which is also part of the UK supermarket Tesco. The service has a catalogue of more than 10,000 titles, including classics and latest blockbusters. In case you needed another movie-finder app for your Windows Phone, moviefone (owned by AOL) has released an official and not-too-shabby app for Windows Phone 8 owners. The service, which has been around for years, allows users to find movies, start times, theaters and more based on their current location.

While the app is similar to Fandango and Flixster, moviefone (www.moviefone.com) does bring its own unique brand and style to your smartdevice. The app allows you to see top box office, trailers and clips, upcoming films, casting information (which you can use to drill down further, nice), what’s out on DVD this week and general film news, all in a Modern UI that is quite responsive to our input.

It looks like this is the third week in a row with no new Xbox Windows Phone game. That officially makes this the second drought of the year. Now, last week I complained about the lack of release and some people felt I was being too harsh. So this week we’ll look at the bright side of a new game not coming out.

The most obvious advantage of not having a new Xbox release is that it allows us to catch up on our reviews! We published our Tiny Plane review today, and last week our Monopoly Millionaire review ran. If Microsoft bothered to keep publishing a new game each week like gamers want and expect, we probably couldn’t have finished those reviews. What can I say? It takes me a while to play a game and then give it a lengthy and detailed review.
