DIY Nokia wireless-charging nightstand video makes us wish we had skills

If there’s one thing people really like about their Lumia 920s and that is underappreciated, it’s the ability to wirelessly charge them. So it’s fun to see forum regular and video guru Nisse Tuta show us how to improve upon our nightstands by integrating our standard Nokia wireless charging plate.

The process is not that involved and only requires a few tools for the job, but it is something you’ll want to take your time with and plan out accordingly. Personally, we think this project came out quite nicely and makes us wish for more furniture that is Qi-ready.

The last time we checked in on Windows Phone Central forum member Nisse Tuta, he was making beautiful videos in honor of the Lumia 920 and also humorously testing out its wireless charging capabilities.

Now Nisse has a new video available that goes through some various cases for the flagship Nokia phone and we have to admit, it had us in stitches. Whether you need a big solid case, an official Nokia one (CP-600) or the ultimate day-to-day one, you’ll want to take a moment from you day an appreciate Nisse’s humor.

Speaking of, we should just hire Nisse to make us videos on the Lumia 920 as clearly he has a knack for it.

If there’s one thing our audience knows is that those with Nokia Lumias tend to be…loyal. It’s not hard to imagine why as there is something quite unique and satisfying when handling a Nokia phone, especially their high-end polycarbonate ones like the 800, 900 or their best yet the Lumia 920.

One of our forum members, Nisse Tuta, has gone ahead and made a gorgeous video review of his beloved 920 and it is hands down one of the nicest tributes we’ve seen. Nisse was also behind the other recent video showing off the 920’s wireless charging capability, a video that was also highly enjoyable and entertaining.

As the video notes, let’s cue the music and get the shallowest depth of field possible, because this is the Lumia 920. Not just a phone but art. Head into our forums for more to ask questions, learn new tricks or to just have fun.

Ever wonder what all the Nokia wireless charging pad can work through? The obvious question would be "Can the wireless charger operate through a protective case?" but Windows Phone Central reader Nisse Tuta took things a bit further.

From a sock to a cooking pot, the wireless charger was put through the ringer of sorts. The Nokia Lumia 920 successfully made contact through every object except the metal cooking pot. The charging connection was even successful while holding the Lumia 920 a few inches above the charging pad.

I just wonder if Nisse had have put the Lumia 920 in the pot then placed the pot on the charger would it have worked. You can catch the full discussion on Nisse's wireless charging experiments here in the Windows Phone Central Forums.
