red stripe deals

Another week, another batch of Red Stripe Deals. These special offers for Windows Phone owners help save a few pennies when shopping for apps and games. This week, we have Pac-Man CE DX leading Pool Plus Friends, myBattery and more. The best part about the Red Stripe Deals is not all the apps and games included are Windows Phone 8 only.

Head past the break to see what else is on offer and for download links.

It’s another week with no new Xbox Windows Phone game. Things could be worse – most of us are probably too busy with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (and maybe even Throne Wars) to feel Achievement pangs. But a little Xbox Red Stripe Deal action can’t hurt either. This week’s deal is Carcassonne from Exozet Games for 99 cents. Carcassonne was part of a Black Friday sale in 2012 but has never been a Red Stripe Deal before.

The remaining Red Stripe Deals offer some fine gaming choices as well. There’s Action Bowl 2 from Atomic Bullfrog, Duudle from Visiarc, and Mini Dash from PlayCreek – all for 99 cents. Artifex Mundi’s high quality hidden object game Dark Arcana: the Carnival rings up at $1.49, and the handy app Lock Widgets from Windows Phone Hacker is 99 cents too. Descriptions and Store links after the break!

After another week with no new Xbox release on Windows Phone, only a solid Xbox Red Stripe Deal could cure Achievement-hungry Windows Phone gamers’ woes. This week’s deal is a repeat though, having previously been on sale in 2012 and 2013. Collapse! from Game House has been marked down to 99 cents from $2.99. Exciting or no, it’s still a good choice if you’re looking for a good, simple puzzle game or just the easiest Achievements around. Descriptions and Store Links after the break!

Since we didn’t get a new Xbox game for Windows Phone this week (though I finally worked through Temple Run 2), the Xbox Red Stripe Deal must once again sustain Achievement-minded Windows Phone gamers. This week’s deal title Mush from Angry Mango has been on sale thrice before, most recently in April of last year. But Mush is still a charming exclusive that somehow never escaped to iOS like most tend to do. Might as well pick it up for a buck if you haven’t already.

The non-Xbox Red Stripe Deals offer some fine game and app discounts as well. Artifex Mundi’s beautiful hidden-object adventure game Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart gets knocked down to $1.49, while graphically intense Skateboard Party 2 from Ratrod Studio and Kristanix Studio’s casual Fantastic Farm come in at 99 cents each. Meanwhile, non-game MusicStation from Raphaël Ruis is on sale for $2.99 and RaveIT Pro for 99 cents.

Hey all you penny-pinchers who decry the high prices that Square-Enix charges for its mobile role-playing games. This is your week. Thanks to the magic of the Xbox Red Stripe Deal, Chaos Rings, a game that has never gone on sale before, is now half off! $4.99 is certainly more palatable than $9.99, especially for one of the finest mobile RPGs in existence and single best games on Windows Phone.

The Red Stripe Deals continue to include six discounted games or apps per week in 2014 as opposed to last year’s three. This week’s haul consists mostly of games, with only a single app – Ipnos Software’s Relax Melodies Premium – on sale for 99 cents. The non-Xbox sale games include Chimpact from Yipee! Entertainment for 99 cents, Curling 3D from MaxNick (makers of Spider Jack) for $2.49, Iron Fist Boxing from Realtech VR for $1.49, and Shelter from Survivalist Games for 99 cents.

After all those December deals on Xbox Windows phone games, it’s only natural that the return to a single Xbox Red Stripe Deal of the Week would be less exciting. And so it is! This week’s Xbox sale game is alchemic puzzle game Doodle God from JoyBits. Doodle God last went on sale for 99 cents in July – here’s another chance to get it on the cheap.

If the repeated Xbox sale doesn’t light your fire, perhaps the remaining Red Stripe Deals will do it. Instead of two non-Xbox deals, we have five this time – all Windows Phone 7 and 8 compatible. Games Drive Hard Taxi from JuJu-Apps, Jack Hale from Igor Maliukh, and Toilet People from Muki Software are on sale for 99 cents. Productivity apps Chronos Calendar and Yivosoft Recorder also get discounts. Head past the break for descriptions, pictures, and Store links!

It’s the holiday season, which is exactly why Microsoft is highlighting twelve apps instead of three as part their weekly Red Stripe Deals promo. Yesterday, we looked at the various 12 apps for Windows Phone taking part in the promotion. Now we’ve got the list for the apps on Windows 8 that are also on sale this week. Let’s dive in.

Save on Flight Control Rocket, An Alien with a Magnet, and Avirall Time Suite this week with Microsoft's Red Stripe Deal.

With the appearance of Asphalt 8 as a non-Xbox title, some Windows Phone Xbox fans remain in shock. What better way to cure your ills than with an Xbox game that’s never gone on sale before? That’s exactly what we get with this week’s Xbox Red Stripe Deal: Flight Control Rocket from Electronic Arts. Not bad!

The non-Xbox Red Stripe Deals include indie game An Alien with a Magnet from Rejected Games and stopwatch/productivity app Avirall Time Suite from Pilcrow App Dev. Both cost 99 cents this week. Head past the break for descriptions and Store links!

Every week Microsoft releases app savings to the Windows Phone Store in the form of their Red Stripe Deals. Three apps are yours to claim if you’re up for saving a few bucks. And the majority of the time these apps (or games) are ones you’d probably want anyways. This week we’ve got Paper Racer, Mirror’s Edge, and HDR Photo Camera on sale. Let’s check them out.

Time was that Microsoft notified us of every Red Stripe Deal (then called the Xbox Live Deal of the Week) in advance. Sadly they stopped doing so many moons ago, but that hasn’t stopped our inquisitive nature. Today I was sniffing around all Wolverine-like and caught wind of tomorrow’s deals through unofficial channels – a day ahead of schedule.

The Xbox Red Stripe Deal is Rocket Riot from Codeglue, on sale for $1.99. Brain Seal’s indie RPG Dark Quest and the popular Tweet It! App from My Amazing Big Fork are both 99 cents. Head past the break for screenshots and Store links!

With no new Xbox release for Windows Phone this week, gamers in search of a fix will have to look to the Xbox Red Stripe Deal for their entertainment. The latest deal game is Gameloft’s Dark Knight Rises for Windows Phone 8. It’s on sale for $2.99, as it also was back in June. If you’re looking for a long and meaty game, it should fit the bill.

Non-Xbox Red Stripe Deals include the phenomenal strategy game Armed from Sickhead Games for 99 cents, plus the popular app Weave News Reader for $3.99. We’ve got details and Store links after the break.

This week's Red Stripe Deals are a little bit early over in the Windows Phone Store but who are we to complain.

For those not familiar with the deals, every week the Windows Phone Store taps one Xbox Windows Phone game, one independent gaming title and one app to go on sale. The deal lasts only a week when three new titles will be tapped for the savings.

For this week's deals, which are currently live, we have the Xbox title Parking Mania, the Akinator game, and the network utility UPnP Spy.

It’s another good week for Xbox Windows Phone 8 gamers with yesterday’s release of Tetris Blitz. But more games are always better, and Windows Phone 7 users need stuff to play too. So perhaps the Xbox Red Stripe Deal will do the trick. It’s a blast from the past with iBlast Moki from Godzilabs going on sale for 99 cents. iBlast Moki has only been on sale once before, way back in October 2011, so this will be many deal hunters’ first chance to get it on the cheap.

In non-Xbox Red Stripe Deals news, Anshar Studios’ popular puzzle game The Path of Kara (totally not supposed to sound like Path of Korra) is down to a buck as well. Meanwhile, Rise Up Games’ photography app ProShot lens for Windows Phone 8 is the same price. Details and Store links after the break.
