The Lumia 730, known internally as "Superman," is a forthcoming successor to the mid-range Lumia 720 from early 2013. Yesterday, the first photos of the device came forward, along with the new firmware, codenamed 'Debian Red.' At the time, the one piece of the puzzle missing came down to specifications. Luckily, we now have some more information to connect the dots.

According to our source of the original photos the Lumia 730 looks to be the ideal mid-range Windows Phone 8.1 device, as the specifications (if accurate) should please most at this price range.

Over at the site @evleaks, a report about Nokia's (now Microsoft's) smartphone road map for 2014 has been teased with some device names like 'McLaren,' 'Rock,' 'Tesla' and 'Superman.' While 'Rock' is reported to be an entry-level Lumia 530 for T-Mobile and cricket, 'Tesla' and 'Superman' are described as mid-range devices for AT&T and Verizon, though no specifics are given. The Verge has previously described 'Superman' though as having a 4.7 inch display and a massive 5 MP front-facing camera.

I can add to the story quite a bit, specifically some details around 'McLaren.' But first, I should mention that AT&T is slated to get the new green Lumia 1520 sometime in late June or July as part of the Windows Phone 8.1 launch. I don't know if it'll be 32 GB internal or 16 GB, but with micro SD expansion, the ability to install apps and games to the card and 128 GB support, it doesn't matter anymore.

Last night in the heart of New York City, Nokia co-sponsored the world-premiere of Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel”. We, along with the usual Manhattan glitterati, we lucky enough to attend the red-carpet gala on a rain-soaked Monday.

Yeah, this job has its privileges sometimes, we’ll admit it.

Nokia is one of many companies that have a sponsorship deal with the movie, though they are cited as the largest global partner. Such deals are used to off-set the high costs of the film, associated with production and later promotion of the summer hit, and it helps to have someone else help pick up the bill. In exchange, those companies can have their products featured in the film—sometimes subtle, other times not.

Nokia is running an exciting contest in the US. Those who participate could win the golden prize and be flown to New York City for the world premiere of Man of Steel (June 10th), the new Superman movie. So what's the contest all about? Every two weeks, Nokia has been prompting fans and followers to submit photos based on certain themes. Rumor: Nokia Lumia 925 to debut in China on June 15

The Nokia Lumia 925 was just announced a short while ago, and already Nokia is pushing the latest Windows Phone to the market. According to the official words in London, the Lumia 925 will be released first in China, UK, Germany, Italy and Spain. Now according to the latest rumor, the China part will be done in a matter of weeks, or June 15 to be precise.

Interesting though, the Chinese Lumia 925 is not for everyone. Nokia is to make a splash with Superman: Man of Steel limited edition, much like they did with the Lumia 900 and the Batman logo.  The initial batch will reportedly have exactly 925 units in all, each augmented with the iconic Superman logo, and there will be wireless charging back covers (Superman-ized, too) for purchase.
