So what's Unification all about? If you're not familiar with the name, or have somehow missed our previous coverage, it's a notification centre that pulls in and stores alerts and notifications from third-party apps.

Deezer (www.deezer.com) has launched an app for Windows 8. The French web-based music streaming service is available in over 180 countries and boasts over 3 million subscribers. Unfortunately, there are still no plans for a US launch, which the company surely has to achieve to compete against Spotify, Nokia Music and Xbox Music in the important market.

Blondinbella apps for both Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 have been released. Should you be a fan of the popular and well-known Swedish blogger, these apps are a must have. We've previously looked at Isabella Desirée Löwengrip Rydberg and her own Nokia Lumia 920, so it's good to see apps to further support both Microsoft platforms.

The VLC team has updated its Kickstarter page for Windows and Windows Phone. The update details progress made with an explanation as to why there has been a lack of posts. Tweetro+, the popular Twitter client for Windows has been updated. This marks the start of a substantial number of updates the developer (Lazyworm) has planned for the course of the next handful of months. While we're excited by updates being pushed out, the developer is also reportedly working on ensuring the transition from Twitter API 1.0 to version 1.1 (set to arrive on March 5th) is smooth for consumers.

If you're not familiar with the UK service, TVCatchup is a free way to watch television shows when not sat in front of the big screen. Unfortunately, despite the naming, TVCatchup does not sport functionality to enable users to watch shows that have already been on air, but the available free streaming is a great feature for any device.

TVCatchup already has an app available for Windows 8, but there's also currently an app in development for Windows Phone 8. All About Windows Phone has taken a look at what we can expect.
