Popular Windows Mobile puzzle game HexaLines is already available for Windows 8, and has been for some time. Those of us who wield Windows Phones have had to wait until the developer eventually managed to get the game in a working state to release on the mobile platform. That time has now come. HexaLines is now available on the Windows Phone Store.

Developer Palladium Power has once again made its popular Windows Phone game ORB available for free on the store. The game has recently been bumped to version 3, introducing a number of features as well as the price reduction. If you've never tried out this addictive time consumer, now's the perfect opportunity.

MonsterUp has been around for as long as I can remember on Windows Phone. Paul reviewed it over two years ago to give you an idea. Since then, it’s received continued support from the developer in the form of updates and feature addictions. Its sequel, MonsterUp Adventures is even more addicting than the original and adds a story element to it. And now it’s free until Sunday.

At long last those who own a Windows Phone 7 handset will be able to enjoy Angry Birds in a galaxy far, far away. Angry Birds Star Wars has already received an update on Windows Phone 8, but now we're seeing the roll out for version 7, opening up the Hoth system to those who enjoy firing Jedi and Wookies into the air and knocking out pigs.

Update: Sorry guys, you snooze you lose. Looks like this might have been a limited time thing since a lot of users are reporting they're no longer free. We tested it out and sure enough, they cost money again.

Here’s a fun game to check out. It’s called OMG! Aliens and is for both Windows Phone 7 and 8 users. Gameplay is similar to most other ‘Space Invader’ like games and I’m really digging the 8-bit retro feel, both in aesthetics and music. Browsing the Windows Phone Central forums is a great place to find all sorts of new apps and games you might not otherwise come across. Lurking in there, I found OMG! Aliens and decided to give it a shot. Glad I did.
