Microsoft may finally be hearing your complaints about the lack of Xbox Live support, though it may not be what you envisioned. While many have been calling for Microsoft to differentiate themselves by doubling down on Xbox Live exclusive games, their recent strategy of openness and cross-platform support suggests otherwise.

Now, a new job posting for a newly formed team at Microsoft, dubbed initially as "New Devices and Gaming", gives some clues as to where Redmond is looking next for dominance. While Xbox 360, Xbox One and Live games are exclusive to Microsoft products, there appears to be a new strategy materializing.

If you are a fan of the annual Bonnaroo Music Festival, then you are going to be excited to hear that Microsoft and the festival people themselves have joined up to stream the event live, exclusively on Xbox. You can avoid the massive crowd of what is said to be over 80,000 people trekking to the farm in Manchester, Tennessee and instead enjoy the music right from the comfort of your own couch with either your Xbox 360 or Xbox One entertainment console.

The Xbox One is slowly making its way through the beginnings of 2014, just months after its November release, but already gamers and general consumers alike are enjoying available features and titles. That said, many have complained about certain features and functions (or lack of) on the console. According to The Verge, Microsoft will be releasing a new update on February 11th to address a handful of said console issues.

The patch will include new features focused on displaying what you've got installed on the console itself, making it easier to manage storage space, not to mention splitting up My Games and My Apps to make it more convenient to browse local content.

A heavily defended border separates both North and South Korea, but the Microsoft Kinect has been modified to help out South Korea's border patrol by programmer Jae Kwan Ko. The Kinect was deployed back in August last year, which reportedly identifies objects crossing the DMZ (Demilitarised Zone). The device itself can discern the difference between humans and animals, alerting nearby outposts should the former be detected.

The Xbox brand name not only stands for the hardware box that has sat under television sets for the last thirteen years, but also the exclusive franchises that have made it completely and utterly unique. Whether you are racing an auto in Forza, shooting down alien forces in Halo, or trying to save the inhabitants of Sera in Gears of War – you will be doing on the Xbox platform. After Gears of War: Judgment was released on the Xbox 360, it appeared the franchise would be winding down, but now Microsoft has stepped forward and purchased the rights to the game from Epic Games.

The Nokia Lumia 920 is a solid (quite literally) Windows Phone, powering the latest version of Microsoft's operating system. It was the first Nokia Windows Phone to sport wireless charging, not to mention a great camera and superb display. If you're looking for a premium Windows Phone experience at a low price, you may want to check out an eBay page selling refurbished units for $200. That's a great deal for the overall package. Not only that, but Amazon has the Xbox Live 12 month subscription on offer too.

At times, watching the launch for Microsoft's Xbox One gaming console was like watching a low rise car try to make it over speed bumps in a parking lot — painful. The company's public relations and marketing departments constantly tripped onto their faces when the answers to DRM concerns and piracy control were nowhere to be found.

A couple of months after the launch of Xbox One, not only am I enjoying my personal system, but so are 3 million other gamers and entertainment consumers around the world.

The Chinese government recently lifted its decade-long ban on the selling of gaming consoles within the country, which has been in place since 2000. Console makers are expected to seize the opportunity and extend their war to another huge new market. According to reports, Microsoft will be the one to make the first move, bringing Xbox to China in September 2014.

Xbox One is Microsoft's next-generation video console, which launched just shy of three weeks ago. The company has today announced that more than 2 million consoles have been sold to consumers worldwide, reportedly averaging over 111,111 (see what they did there?) units per day.

Microsoft previously unveiled some humorous, albeit rather pointless figures that included how many zombies have been slain in Dead Rising 3, as well as how many miles have been driven in Forza 5. We now have official numbers to play with when talking about the Xbox One launch and it's looking rather positive.

The Xbox One came out a few days ago, did you get one? If so, by now you’ve started to explore some of the Kinect 2.0 functionality that every Xbox One comes bundled with. It’s fairly incredible despite some initial growing pains. There’s a whole set of both voice commands to learn and gestures if you want to really control your Xbox One like a pro. Here they are.

Hey gamers, how’s your weekend going? While you are racing your cars, shooting the bad guys, or scoring goals, it’s great to control your experience on your Windows Phone. Few days back, Sam wrote about the official companion app for Grand Theft Auto V for Windows Phone and here we are with the official companion app for FIFA 14.

The app allows you to access your Football Club news, alerts, and friends, and keeps you up to date with your friends and send messages. You can purchase packs from the FUT Store and manage your FUT Squads by optimizing Chemistry, Formations, and Players. You can find and but on players on the FUT Transfer Market or turn a quick profit with the FUT Transfer List.

The Xbox One launch is going to be massive. Stores are struggling to keep up with pre-orders (I've personally had my own order put in "queue three" with my local GAME store), but fear not if you've yet to pre-order the console. UK supermarket chain, Tesco has some stock put to the side at its Extra stores that will go on a first come first serve basis.

Tomorrow's the big day (unless you reside in New Zealand and Australia). The Xbox One will be launching in multiple markets on November 22nd and it's not farfetched to assume everyone's real excited to get their hands on the next-gen console.

The only issue is that the launch day is a Friday, but what if you could have a Xbox One Doctor's Note to pull a sickie and get out of whatever is planned for you?
