Windows Phone 7.8 change log posted, heavy on the cosmetics

Microsoft has posted the change log for the Windows Phone 7.10.8858.136, otherwise known as the Windows Phone 7.8 update.

While the hardware of our old Windows Phone 7.5 devices couldn't support a full-blown update to Windows Phone 8, the 7.8 update offers us a few performance tweaks but mostly cosmetic changes. And that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Microsoft publishes changelog for Windows Phone 8 OS update

Although we have gone over a lot of the changes in the Windows Phone 8 ‘Portico’ update that started rolling out today (build 10211), there were a few tiny nuggets that even we missed.

Luckily Microsoft has gone ahead and printed out all the changes in detail on the site and while there is nothing that’s stop-the-presses, the details should satisfy those who need to know.

This morning the v1.1 update of Crackdown 2 was posted in the Marketplace.

We, being the curious bees we are, wondered what exactly had changed and were wondering why no change log was posted with the app description. In short we reached out to Karl Stricker of Microsoft who sure delivered on what was updated/fixed in the game and now we know why they didn't list it....the list is huuuge.

So huge in fact we have to list it after the jump. So if you want on all the deets, click on.
