Disney

With summer fast approaching, vacations are being planned and if you're headed to Walt Disney World, you may want to check out Disney Expedition for your Windows Phone 8 or 7.x device.

Disney Expedition is a well laid out companion app for the Disney theme parks that can help you manage your time and help you from getting lost.

Way back in March, Microsoft announced a big batch of Windows 8 games that would be launching the following weekend. These mostly included Xbox-enabled games, but they mixed some indies in there too. And all of those games did launch that weekend but one: Temple Run: Brave from Disney and Imangi.

We never learned what caused the holdup, but the important thing is Temple Run: Brave has launched for Windows 8 and RT at last! In our previous article I said it might not have Xbox Live features, and unfortunately that has proven to be the case. At least Windows tablet and PC users can now enjoy an installment of the popular Temple Run series… No word on a Windows Phone port of this one, unfortunately.

Head past the break for a hands-on video and our full impressions!

What’s better than a highly popular, well received game going free for a day?  How about two highly popular, well received games going free for a day. Starting tomorrow, Disney has made their two games for Windows Phone 8 free for 24 hours. Both Where’s My Water? and Where’s My Perry? will drop from $0.99 to nada, zip, zilch, f-r-e-e.

Disney has release two Windows Phone 8 games over at the Windows Phone Store. The games have had a bit of success over at Disney.com and should translate nicely on our Windows Phones.

Where's My Water? and Where's My Perry? are both physics based puzzle games featuring Perry the Platypus from the popular cartoon show "Phineas and Ferb" as well as cartoon alligators Swampy and Cranky.

DisneyBot - Review

Heading to Disney World Resort this summer? There's a Windows Phone app out there that may lessen the headache of finding your way around the theme parks.  DisneyBot is a travel application that maps out Disney World covering restrooms, rides, attractions and park times. The app uses your Windows Phone location services with Bing Maps to guide your way around the parks.

For more on DisneyBot, slide on past the break.
