Expansys UK has provided us with a red Nokia Lumia 820 Windows Phone, a wireless charging pillow, and a set of Bluetooth Monster headphones to give away to one lucky reader in the United Kingdom.

All our United Kingdom readers needed to do to enter is toss out a recommendation for a local retailer, business, bank or other local app. We received hundreds of suggestions with banking apps seeming to the popular request (Barclays, Lloyds, Ulster, etc.).

But alas, we could only have one winner selected at random from all the comments.

Just a quick reminder, if you're in the United Kingdom and are interested in winning a Nokia Lumia 820, you only have a few more hours to enter the Expansys/Windows Phone Central giveaway.

We have gotten our hands on (courtesy of Expansys) a red Lumia 820, a wireless charging pillow, and a set of Bluetooth Monster headphones to give away.

All you need to do to enter is:

  1. Live in the United Kingdom
  2. be a registered WPCentral.com member, which you can do here.
  3. post in the comments below what local app you'd like to see come to the Windows Phone Store.  It could be a UK banking app, retailer app, or anything that would make life more covenant in your neck of the woods.

We'll shut things down at midnight on Thursday, May 9th and randomly draw one winner shortly there after. Again, you need to be a UK resident to qualify.  Good luck everyone!

The Samsung ATIV S Windows Phone is currently available at mobile electronics retailer Expansys UK for just £269. That's just over £250 for a high-end smartphone. We've previously reviewed the ATIV S - it's a superb price for anyone who's looking at picking up a Windows Phone 8 handset.

We’re not sure if Nokia has any plans to sell the highly stylish, entry level Lumia 620 here in the States, but that hasn’t stopped Expansys from carrying it.

Selling for a reasonable $289 completely unlocked, the 3.8” 1GHz device with an 800x480 display is certainly a looker with Nokia’s bold new color schemes (black, white, magenta, cyan and yellow).

The Samsung ATIV S is making its way around Europe and beyond, but the 32GB version is yet to be made available, leaving the 16GB as the only option for consumers who are looking to adopt Windows Phone 8 early. The Windows Phone (sporting the latter amount of storage) was previously delayed in Italy until this very month.

We previously looked at the handset when it was made available here in the UK (again, 16GB), but Expansys in Italy have now listed the 32GB variant of the ATIV S. Unfortunately pricing is yet to be unveiled for the new version. Not only that, but the 16GB units are reportedly discounted in preparation for the more advanced variant.

UK retailer Clove has announced on their blog that the Lumia 920 will be available once again on the company's website. The Windows Phone has been absent since late last year due to either high demand or lack of production on Nokia's part. We've been keeping close tabs on availability in a number of markets since the handset was announced back in September.

UK retailers Clove and Expansys have both unveiled that they will receive stock for the ATIV S this coming Friday. The retailers have Samsung products listed on their websites, and we've all been eager to see when both will be readily available from sources here in the UK (as well as other markets).

Samsung is pushing a Windows Phone 8 smartphone, as well as a handful of Windows products that were all unveiled back in June at IFA 2013. It was the first Windows Phone 8 device to be announced and will be among the last to come to market, which has surprised and angered many consumers who were looking forward to picking up the handset earlier in the year.

Good news for those who are looking to purchase a Lumia 920 before the festive holidays are upon us, Expansys UK has got some in stock. Both the white and black variants are available, but the only downside is the unlocked pricing of £554.99. Ouch.

We knew the Samsung ATIV S was pushed back to December and now we are learning the at least one retailer is expecting inventory available on December 13th.

Expansys U.K. is expecting the ATIV S due on December 13th at a price of £449.99.  You can find the Samsung ATIV S Expansys listing here.  Additionally, it is our understanding that the HTC 8S will become available through Expansys U.K. on December 5th for £239.99.  The HTC 8S Expansys listing can be found here.

The Lumia 920 will be required to be rationed soon if Nokia can't produce enough to meet demand. We've seen retailers and carriers run out of initial stock. Whether this is down to high demand, limited stock or both, we're not sure but the Lumia 920 is proving to be a popular choice if the Exspansys UK Top 20 chart is anything to go by.

For those of you looking to buy an HTC 8X SIM free in the UK, you’ll be pleased to know that the device is coming back into stock with new California Blue devices expected today and Black expected to return in the next 48 hours.

Unfortunately there is no word on a release date for the Red and Limelight yellow versions, which are like rare Pokemon, evidently. As soon as we hear they’re in stock we’ll let you know.

The HTC 8X is now showing up as available to order at Clove, Expansys and O2. We quickly highlighted this availability in the 8X Metro newspaper advertisement, but it's surely worth an announcement of its own with consumers eager to make a purchase.

Expansys UK is has listed the HTC 8X and 8S as available for pre-order. The HTC 8X is listed for £399.99 and the HTC 8S is listed for £239.99.  It is our understanding that shipping dates for the 8X will be November 2, 2012 and the 8S will ship shortly thereafter on November 15, 2012.

In looking at other Expansys sites, both HTC Windows Phone 8 devices appear to be available for pre-order across the board.  On Expansys U.S. the HTC 8X (unlocked) will run $629.99 and the HTC 8S (unlocked) will run $349.99.

Pre-order now, get it at the same time as everyone else

Preorders are kind of like the teaser preview in technology—they cost virtually nothing to produce but get a lot of people talking. Such is the case with Expansys now offering pre-orders for the ATIV S from Samsung.

The page is up both in Italy and even the US although there is no price listed nor ETA for a shipping date—in other words, they’re doing it for the links and headlines because let's be honest, this won't sellout early like the iPhone.

While third party desktop cradles are available for the HTC Titan and Radar (here's our review of the Mobi cradle), we haven't seen a massive distribution of the HTC cradles for these Windows Phones here in the States.

One such place you can find both the HTC Titan Cradle (CR S600) and the HTC Radar Cradle (CR S610) is over at Expansys USA. Not sure if these are European imports or are U.S. models.

Nonetheless, the cradle for the Titan can be found here and the Radar's cradle here. Both are running $38.99. If you know of any other vendors carrying the cradles, feel free to sound off in the comments.

Thanks, Clifton, for the tip!

While Phones4U can claim an exclusive for the white Lumia 800 on contract, Expansys UK is now taking pre-orders for the SIM-free version.

No price is set but don't worry--Expansys will verify with you before they charge your credit card and ship your phone. In addition, you can order this internationally meaning even those in the US can partake in the all-white Lumia experience (of course, you'll pay dearly).

The 16GB glossy white Lumia should be shipping in the first week of March. Head here to Expansys to get your preorder on.

In what has to be a great sign for Nokia (and Windows Phone), the Lumia 800 is the top selling phone at the Australian site in the last week.  And the popular Windows Phone has some stiff competition to boot, beating out the Amazon Kindle Fire, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the iPad 2. The black, 16GB version is selling for a very reasonable $578, which is helping sales.

While reports of the Lumia 800 selling well have been coming in, they're mostly anecdotal. This information from Expansys seems to be the first, really solid evidence from a reseller that Nokia's marketing efforts are paying off and resonating with the public.

Still, the UK version of the site has the Lumia 800 at #7, which isn't too bad but obviously it can stand to gain some ground.

For those looking for a slim and unique second-gen Windows Phone, could we steer your attention to the LG-E906 aka the Jil Sander phone? Expansys evidently has a UK exclusive on the device and are selling it currently for £299.99.

The Jil Sander's phone is a collaboration between the famed fashion house and LG to make a somewhat unique, yet somewhat plain Windows Phone. After all, it is a refresh of the Optimus 7 from last year. What's important for you spec fiends to remember is that this does feature 16GB of storage in addition to a 3.8" screen, 1 GHz CPU and 5MP camera. It also evidently has a custom accent color in the form of "electric blue" and a matching blue internal frame (revealed when the battery cover is removed).

Killer device? Certainly not. Worthy of consideration though? Yeah, we think it looks kind of sharp actually, but we have odd taste.

Order up the phone from here and check out Expansys's hands on with the device here.

Joining Digitec today is Expansys in Canada, who is now also shipping the HTC Titan and Radar. What's more is according to the Expansys Top 20 best selling handsets this week, the HTC Titan is ranked number 2 behind the Samsung Galaxy S II Android device. Not bad!

If HTC isn't your cup of tea, remember that Expansys is stocking the Omnia W too for Europeans.

Should you be excited about the Samsung Omnia W then perhaps pre-ordering the handset would be a wise investment? Especially since it's reasonably priced on Expansys at £329.99 (€384,99 on the Italy site), which is in the neighborhood of $515 U.S. dollars.  The mid-range device is slightly cheaper than the competitive HTC Radar, which was spotted on Clove for £285 (excl. VAT) or $447 U.S.

The Omnia W specification sheet has the device sporting a 3.7" Super AMOLED screen, 1.4Ghz processor and a 5MP rear camera (with FF VGA camera), running Mango of course. Check out some HD shots of the Samsung Omnia W and HTC Radar for more eye-popping content.

So, question being, which are you? Radar or Omnia W?
