Level with me, you go on other forums besides ours here at Windows Phone Central. You might like BMWs and frequent Bimmerforums. Or you’re a Bronie and frequent MLPForums, it's ok, we really won’t tell anyone about that one. For our forums you can just use our app for great access on the go, but for other forums you’ll need an app like Board Express or Foroplex. The only problem with Foroplex is that it won’t be getting many updates in the future.
But that’s a good thing because an official Tapatalk app for Windows Phone is coming.
Here’s a fun game to check out. It’s called OMG! Aliens and is for both Windows Phone 7 and 8 users. Gameplay is similar to most other ‘Space Invader’ like games and I’m really digging the 8-bit retro feel, both in aesthetics and music. Browsing the Windows Phone Central forums is a great place to find all sorts of new apps and games you might not otherwise come across. Lurking in there, I found OMG! Aliens and decided to give it a shot. Glad I did.
If you're still wondering how well the optical stabilization works on the Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone, we ran across a video using the Lumia 920 as an action cam over in the Windows Phone Central Forums.
According to the discussion, Windows Phone Central reader Allen Balkema strapped his Lumia 920 to his helmet and took it out for a spin through the woods on his four-wheeler. While the helmet mount didn't place the Lumia 920 at the best angle, you can tell from the video that the optical stabilization worked nicely.
Balkema feels that the Lumia 920's video performance was smoother than what he's seen from the GoPro HD Hero 2 action camera. You can catch the full fourteen minute video in this WPCentral.com Forums discussion.
We trust you've all had an eventful festive holiday and that the New Year will hold many good times ahead. Here at Windows Phone Central we've been busy bees throwing up content to push us into 2013 and our community forum hasn't seen a dip in activity either with a number of threads and posts being accumulated. So what's been happening?
Ever wonder what all the Nokia wireless charging pad can work through? The obvious question would be "Can the wireless charger operate through a protective case?" but Windows Phone Central reader Nisse Tuta took things a bit further.
From a sock to a cooking pot, the wireless charger was put through the ringer of sorts. The Nokia Lumia 920 successfully made contact through every object except the metal cooking pot. The charging connection was even successful while holding the Lumia 920 a few inches above the charging pad.

An upcoming Windows Phone meetup is on the horizon, which will take place in St. Louis. According to Rob who organises the events, this will be the last one for the foreseeable future year. But a few tricks are up his sleeve to drive interest to the set location. The plan is to give away a Lumia 900 and Lumia 710 to attendees, which will surely be superb stocking fillers for the upcoming festive holiday.

It has certainly been an incredibly busy start to the week here at Windows Phone Central. If you haven't already checked the Windows Phone community out, it's a busy place for everyone who's a fan of Microsoft's mobile platform. With discussions covering all the latest hardware, features and rumours, the forums is the place to be. So what's been happening these past couple of days?
Today T-Mobile announced the Lumia 810, a version of the Lumia 820 that'll be heading to the US carrier. While many would simply assume it's a mere codename alteration, don't be fooled into thinking the same. The Lumia 810 does sport some differentiations that space the device out from AT&T's second Lumia Windows Phone 8 offering.
Because the Lumia 810 is set to arrive in a matter of weeks, we figured it would be a perfect opportunity for discussion to spark. A forum has been designated for threads to be created that cover the new Windows Phone.
