Just as the Lumia 521 is selling away in the US, the Lumia 520 is now available in Ireland for a low price of just €129. O2 Ireland even has a deal open for just €109, but has since sold out. Either Nokia is once again having issues with producing enough units or we're seeing signs that the Lumia 520 is going to perform rather well.

The Lumia 920 is on its way to Ireland, according to a tweet published by Nokia. The Windows Phone 8 device is set to be available later this week on both Vodafone and O2. Vodafone previously published a Lumia 920 support page, which led us to assume the handset would be picked up by the network.

A forum page over on O2 Ireland's site indicates that they are currently testing the Samsung ATIV S on their network. The post says that testing began on December 4 for both the ATIV S and the HTC 8S. It isn't clear just how long the testing process will take, but it may be an indicator that both phones are very close to being released.

The Samsung ATIV S was the first Windows Phone 8 device announced and the last to show at the party. For reasons still unexplained, it has been delayed, with rumored release dates ranging from the end of December to sometime in February 2013. Windows Phone Central received a communication from Samsung saying that the ATIV S was still on track for the "end of the year."

Vodafone Ireland has published the Lumia 920 support page on its website. This could only mean on thing - the carrier is expecting to stock the Windows Phone. Unfortunately no information is available on the storefront as to when we could expect to see the Lumia 920 being sold at Vodafone stores across Ireland.

Three in Ireland has announced today that the carrier will start pushing the HTC 8X Windows Phone out its doors tomorrow. The handset, available in 'California Blue', sports a large 4.3" HD display with an 8MP camera and 16GB of storage. It's an advanced device capable of delivering a butter smooth experience.

Nokia has painted a Peugeot 107 in Lumia colours following a tweet from Damien in Wexford, Ireland, who stated that he’d let the Finnish Windows Phone manufacturer add something extra to his car for a new Lumia 900. This was an odd request, but one Nokia simply couldn’t pass on.

Not only does it provide free advertising for the Windows Phone platform and the Lumia family of smartphones, but it also engages the social community with another "wow" marketing stunt.

The Lumia 610 low-cost Windows Phone is on its way to Ireland, according to Nokia Ireland on their Facebook page. The social team has stated Q2 2012 for when stock will be made available to consumers. The Lumia 610 has already been confirmed to be heading to the UK, Germany, Netherlands, and India, to name but a few.

This positive move will bring Windows Phone "Tango" to the Irish shores, offering consumers a more affordable option. The Lumia 610 sports a 3.7" screen (WVGA 800 x 480), 8GB storage and 256MB RAM. Check out the Nokia Ireland Facebook conversation transcript below:

Consumer: "when is Nokia Lumia 610 coming. I think it be great if Nokia give Lumia 610 or 720 to developers to be able to program an application and test it out. As i am working on Windows Phone application and i need a windows phone to make sure it works and i will give it back"

Nokia Ireland: "[...] the Nokia Lumia 610 will be coming to Ireland in Q2. We will be sure to keep you posted on it's arrival!"

Note that we'll keep this filed under "rumours" as nothing has been officially announced, nor is the Nokia Lumia Momentum Map reflecting this information (though it's not showing any plans for the Lumia 610 globally).

Thanks Mike for the heads up!

Nokia has officially launched the Lumia 800 in Ireland, with the above video capturing the action at (and around) Grafton Street, Dublin. We can see the Nokia team handing out free hot beverages, invading carrier and retail stores to effectively showcase the Lumia 800. There was also a prize draw for a handset giveaway.

Are you planning to get your hands on the "sexy, elegant, beautiful, wonderful, functional" Lumia 800? The handset is available from Vodafone on contract at €30/mo or for €429 without a tied plan, as well as usual retailers.

We previously looked at BusFinder for Dublin, a public transport app that enables the user to keep on top of bus timetables, live updates and stop locations within the city. The app has made its way through the submission process and is now available on the Windows Phone Marketplace.

You can download BusFinder from the Marketplace for 1.29 (£0.99).

Are you an Irish Windows Phone owner who resides in Dublin? Then BusFinder will be of great use to you in your installed app arsenal. Using Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI), the app displays up-to-date bus departure times across a number of routes throughout the city. BusFinder allows the user to add individual bus stops to a shortlist for convenient access and/or pin Live Tiles to the home screen that list the next three bus arrival times.

The app features Bing Map integration that clearly illustrates that particular bus route and what stops it covers, as well as the location of your current selected bus stop. Sporting a cartoony style interface with a Metro UI feel, BusFinder certainly stands out from the crowd. It will be hitting the Marketplace in the next couple of days, and will be available for €1.29 ($1.99/£1.49).

Check out the video of the app in action after the break.

Nokia has announced on Facebook that the Lumia 800 will be available on Vodafone in Ireland on February 1st, which we touched on last week. What's more is that according to users who visited the Facebook page, they noticed the manufacturer stating that the Lumia 900 (the recently announced U.S. LTE Windows Phone) will be coming to Europe in Q2 2012. See the below quote:

"The Nokia Lumia 900 will launch across Europe including Ireland in Q.2 of 2012. We cannot confirm whether Vodafone will stock it or not at this point. Hope that answers your questions guys?!"

So that will at least give us hope of the high end handset coming to Europe.

Good news for our Irish brothers, Vodafone IE is looking to bring the Lumia 800 to Ireland. Nokia's flagship Windows Phone has received positive attention from both the bloggersphere and owners across Europe, which will make the handset a welcomed addition to the Irish arsenal. No word yet on pricing or availability, but we would hazard a guess that it'll be competitive and be in line with what we've seen in the UK.
