Nokia will be launching the Lumia 920 on February 14th, according to a report over on Gizmodo. The flagship Windows Phone will be available for R$1,999 (approximately $1,000) and in the black version. The pricing may appear to be slightly on the high side, but Nokia will attempt to dampen the blow with a USB portable DC-16 charger (not wireless) bundled with the first customers who pre-order the handset.

Nokia is poised to launch the Lumia 920 in Jordan. It's the first Windows Phone to be released in the region due to lack of language support in the operating system. With the advent of Windows Phone 8's greater language support, including RTL abilities, Nokia (and other OEM partners) can now push hardware in the market. Nokia's reportedly a popular brand in Jordan, so how well is it expected to perform?

With the continued push by Microsoft into old and new markets for the combo of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, it’s nice to see one country get some attention too: Kuwait.

Reader of the site Mansoor B, who resides there, has sent us his report of the launch occurring this last week. Although the main focus was Windows 8 in the mall kiosk (which has a prime spot right in the middle of the place), Windows Phone 8 was represented too specifically with the Lumia 820 and 920.

The Samsung ATIV S was the first Windows Phone 8 smartphone to be announced, and was unveiled earlier this year at IFA 2012 in Berlin, Germany. We're still not sure just how many Windows Phone 8 devices both Nokia and HTC have sold thus far, but Steve Ballmer has informed shareholders in a meeting on Wednesday that Windows Phone handsets in the month since launch were 300 percent higher than the same period last year - we have growth.

Should what the executive revealed in the meeting be accurate, Windows Phone sales are increasing with the launch of new hardware. But until we see official numbers it'll remain speculation as to just how much the platform has grown by. Unfortunately, Ballmer failed to announce how many devices have been sold.

We've been publishing a number of reports covering multiple retailers and carriers where initial stock of Lumia 920 Windows Phones has sold out. It appears this is a global issue right now, but who would have thought that Nokia would have a problem of getting enough Windows Phones into the market to meet demand?
