Nokia has taken an opportunity to go into some detail about the Lumia 925 and its antenna improvements, utilising the aluminium to wrap around the sides of the Windows Phone. The "ring" of metal acts as part of the phone's radio system, with stripes that separate the antennas (main antenna at the bottom with two more towards the top of the device) from the other sections of metal.

We've experienced Nokia tease and show off its upcoming wireless charging car stand (the CR-200), with the most recent sighting at the Nokia Lumia 925 and Lumia 928 event in London. We also got to check out Nokia's docking app that would launch through NFC as the Lumia Windows Phone is inserted into the stand. Today we're pleased to relay news that this very product has now passed through FCC.

Nokia has released an update for App Highlights, which has now been bumped to version 2.2.5.24. It's a rather minor update that changes a handful of things within the app itself, including the alteration of the highlight layout from landscape to portrait. For those who are unaware, App Highlights is a solution from Nokia for consumers who are seeking more content from the store that they may have not yet come across.

Nokia has once again updated its beta version of the Ringtone Maker app for Windows Phone. The company only recently published an update to the beta that included support for more file formats, but today we're looking at longer ringtones. UK mobile operator Vodafone is set to wait until this coming September until the company looks to launch its 4G LTE upgrade, according to The Guardian. The newspaper states Vodafone will miss the original target window of summer to launch 4G services and compete with EE. It's believed the delay will be in place for a compatible iPhone, but we could also be witnessing support for Nokia's new flagship.
There's very little arguement that the Nokia Lumia 92x series of Windows Phones performs extremely well in low light conditions. The latest Verizon commercial, #takebetterphotos, highlights the Lumia 928's camera's low light abilities.
Touted as the "best low light smartphone camera around" the thirty second ad illustrates how well the 928's camera performs when lighting is at a minimum. Similar to the Lumia 920, the Lumia 928's benefits from the optical stabilization and Nokia's Pureview technology to improve photos captured in those dimly lit situations.
The Nokia Lumia 928 is an exclusive to the Verizon network and is currently running $99.99 after contractual discounts.
Nokia is continuing to update its #2InstaWithLove app with more filters. It was only last week when we saw the manufacturer add in the Pureview filter and today we now also have OIS. The effect joins the likes of Smartshot, Lumia, Nightshot and more, offering consumers even more cool ways to edit photos.
It shouldn't be a secret that Nokia likes to hold photo contests from time to time to showcase the cameras on the Lumia line of Windows Phones. The latest Nokia Lumia Photo Challenge dared readers to capture adventures at night with their Lumia Windows Phone.
The winner was announced over on Twitter and we would like to extend our congratulations to Windows Phone Central reader aaa6112 for his photo of the Scripps Pier in San Diego. The above photo was captured with his Lumia 920 and the prize for this wall hanger of a photo, a new Lumia 720.
Not sure what the next Nokia Lumia Photo Challenge will be but we'll keep an eye out for it and let you know.
The Nokia Lumia 928 and 925 aren’t upgrades to the Lumia 920. Daniel put it best in his From the Editor’s Desk this morning when he called it a sideways upgrade. Same goes for the camera found in those devices, they’re basically the same one you’ll find in the Lumia 920, but with a little more software magic.
Here’s an ad from Microsoft that shows off the low-light prowess of the Lumia 928 for Verizon.
What’s today? Today is the 20th of May, which means if you’re rocking a Nokia Lumia 521 on T-Mobile you should be getting a killer update. A killer update that adds Wi-Fi calling. Users on Reddit are seeing the update now. Ready to update? Details below.
The Lumia 925 is Nokia's latest Windows Phone, along with the Lumia 928 but many have been concerned that Vodafone appears to have the 32GB version of the Lumia 925, while everyone else has to deal with 16GB of internal storage. It's now come to light that T-Mobile will also be picking up the model with 32GB of storage, which will surely please many to know that it may not be that much of an exclusivity.
It's at 0:22 in the latest pop video from Jennifer Lopez where we see a shiny new Lumia 920, which sports a bold Windows Phone styled SMS conversation between herself and fellow artist Pitbull. The song is called "Live It Up" and comes with a rather bouncy video. We've previously covered Windows Phones being used in music videos, with the HTC TITAN in Fun.'s "We Are Young" being the most notable example.
Just like the Lumia 920, Nokai's new Lumia 928 has had its case pulled off to reveal what's inside. We're always under the impression that Nokia packs magic inside its family of Windows Phones, with an army of fairies making the experience complete. Unfortunately, the Verizon Lumia 928 is (like technology in general) powered by circuitry. Interested to see what's inside?
Nokia has released a new beta for Lumia Windows Phone owners to enjoy - App Highlights Social. So what can one do with said app installed? It essentially takes the baton from the App Highlights app we've come to know and love, but improving the overall experience with new functionality and a more advanced interface. Our first impressions: it's really, really cool.
Mother always said life was like a box of chocolates. If you shop around you’ll find older, seasonal selections for a cheaper price. Giving you some extra money for the rest of the date. Or something like that. Same applies for smartphones, if you shop around you’ll get some sweet deals for a phone that isn’t old – the Nokia Lumia 928 on Verizon.

Some may believe the Man of Steel app isn't enough and we need more superhero bits and bobs. There's an answer to this call with some themed accessories for Nokia Windows Phones. The company has signed a deal with Warner Bros to promote the new Superman movie. Who said hardware running Microsoft's mobile operating system isn't super?

Developers have a hard time getting word out about their work, especially since the platform is still relatively young. Here in the UK we have the Windows Phone User Group, headed up by Matt Lacey (@mrlacey). The monthly meetings enable developers to showcase their apps and / or work in all areas of Windows Phone. We tag along each time to offer more support for developers and to see what's new in the community.
It's a perfect opportunity to get involved and also to meet ourselves for some coverage on this very website. This coming Monday (May 20th), the group is heading to Nokia's new offices in Paddington, London. We encourage all developers to register, come along and demonstrate their work to the audience. As an incentive, there's a special prize on offer too for the best app. Who doesn't want free promotion these days?
