We’ve had a few reports come in today and a discussion in our forums about a new firmware update that is evidently being pushed out to those with a Lumia 920. To be clear, this is just a firmware update (not OS), bringing it from 1232.5951.1249.1017 to 1232.5951.1249.1018. That’s a small change and we’re confident in saying no new features will be on board.

We've been made aware of an absolute bargain. For just £15 a month, you can be a proud owner of a Lumia 820 with Orange. The UK mobile operator currently offers the handset with no upfront fee on either its Panther or Dolphin plans. The former contract (for 24-months) includes 50 minutes, unlimited SMS and 250MB worth of data. The package is perfect should you not use an awful lot of allowance, but wish to snatch a Windows Phone 8 smartphone.

We've just received confirmation that Orange UK is rolling out the Windows Phone 8107 update (for the Lumia 800 anyway). The update addresses the pesky disappearing keyboard bug among other issues. Should you be on the network, and are waiting for the notification, be sure to regularly check Zune when plugged in.

Let us know in the comments should you have the update on the carrier, or are still waiting.

Thanks James for the heads up!

Wow. What a deal Orange UK is running today. Evidently if you upgrade to the Nokia 800 Lumia from your existing plan, you'll get a free Xbox 360. Not bad at all. Here are the details/Terms & Conditions:

"If you’re an Orange pay monthly mobile customer on an existing 12, 18 or 24 month plan and you’re eligible to upgrade we’ll give you a free Xbox 360 if you upgrade to a Nokia Lumia 800 handset on an 18 or 24 month Animal plan. This offer opens on 16 November and closes on 30 November.

If you are eligible for this offer, you can pre-register your interest in the Nokia Lumia 800 on-line at www.orange.co.uk/nokia800, or pre-order it in an Orange store, from 26 October. When pre-ordering the handset, you’ll need to pay a £10 deposit. If you successfully pre-register your details, or pre-order a handset, we may reserve an Xbox 360 for you until 30 November. If you preregistered, you’ll need to upgrade online or in an Orange store; if you preorder you’ll need to upgrade in the same Orange store you paid your deposit in before 30 November, or any Xbox 360 we may have reserved for you may be offered to other customers.

Your Xbox 360 will be shipped within 30 days of upgrading. If you return your new Nokia Lumia 800 or exchange it for another handset you’ll also need to return the Xbox 360 in pristine condition. Our returns policy will apply, check it out orange.co.uk/terms."

Head here to get started! Thanks, Paul, for the heads up!

HTC Radar shows up on Orange UK

The HTC Radar has made its way onto UK mobile site Orange UK in the "Coming Soon" section.  While no timeline is given for availability, it is a good sign that release is imminent.  With a 3.8" screen, 1GHz processor, and 5MP camera, it is meant to be a lower-price point to its overgrown counterpart, the Titan, and was shown to be a little behind it when the two were put through their paces recently.  That being said, the Radar still proved to be a pretty nice addition to the HTC WP7 lineup when we took a look at it hands-on.
