preorder

Nokia looks good on keeping their promise for a quick release on the Lumia 925—estimated to arrive in some European markets by the second week of June. Indeed Nokia Italy on their official shop site have now listed the super slim aluminum device for preorder.

Seems like just yesterday we gave you our unboxing and first impressions of the new Nokia Lumia 720 (it was). If you can’t wait for our word on whether or not to pick up this phone and happen to be in India, you can go ahead and preorder now.

It looks like Verizon is not yet ready to let AT&T have all the fun tomorrow with the launch of those Windows Phone 8 devices. Tonight at 1AM ET (10PM PT), the big wireless carrier will begin preorders for the Nokia Lumia 822 (press) and HTC 8X (press).

No firm release date was given though both phones are expected "before Thanksgiving" meaning we're looking at the 3rd week of November for release. The HTC 8X will uniquely feature wireless charging, competing with AT&T and their Lumia 920 for new features. In addition, the Lumia 822 will also feature the wireless charging technology built in, allowing customers of both devices to enjoy the hassle free power refills.

The Nokia Lumia 822 will go for $99 on contract (after $50 MIR) while the HTC 8X will fetch for $199--on par with AT&T--but will come only in 16GB sizes with California Blue, Graphite Black and Flame Red colors. The Lumia 822 will be available in white, black and grey.

This morning AT&T threw open the preorders for the Nokia Lumia 920, which is commanding a super-low $99 price tag on contract in addition to a limited offering of a free wireless charging pad.

What may be of interest to some is the fact that the off-contract, no commitment price (but yes, still locked to AT&T) is just $450. That’s quite fascinating as most had expected the no-commitment price to be north of $599. That is what Best Buy (and eBay) had as the off-contract price and considering the technology on board the Lumia 920 it made sense. Even when some of us applied a 25% off coupon on the eBy preorder our price was knocked down to $450, which at the time seemed like a steal. (Best Buy is price matching AT&T, so keep that in mind if you ordered from them).

Looks like Best Buy heard about AT&T's announcement today as the electronics chain has unceremoniously returned the Lumia 920 to pre-order status on their site. What's more, it's at the lower price of just $99, meaning if you had BB gift certificates or like using their rewards system, you can now do so.

The devices are still not yet searchable, meaning we're kind of beating Best Buy to the punch here. But we imagine they will show up soon enough in all colors.

It’s official. AT&T has just announced the date and pricing for the Nokia Lumia 820, Lumia 920 and the HTC 8X as well and by our estimates, AT&T is getting very aggressive with pricing here.

The Nokia Lumia 920 will be available this Friday, November 9th for just $99—a full $50 less than what Best Buy was pricing the device at just a week ago. In addition, AT&T will be offering a free wireless charging plate with each purchase of the Lumia 920 while supplies last. Windows Phone Central accurately brough you that news a few days ago. Preorders start tomorrow, November 7th.

The Nokia Lumia 820 will fetch for just $49, also available on Friday, November 9th with preorders also beginning tomorrow.

Nokia’s Italy contingent announced not too long ago that the Lumia 920 will be available for pre-order at the €599 price point and coming in November.

While we still don’t have a firm release date to add to that, we can now direct you to NStore.it, which we’re told is the official Nokia online store for that country. For a deposit of €99, you can reserve your own 920, but only in white or black (insert sad trombone).

We’re not sure if that’s a better deal than what you can get through your carrier (H3G, Telecom Italia, Vodafone or Wind) but if unlocked an non-hassle is your thing, then you may want to give it some consideration.

You can head over to NStore.it’s dedicated pre-order page to get the ball rolling. Thanks, Mirko S., for the tip

New information has come forth confirming October 21st for the Lumia 920 launch

The technology site BGR recently cited Sunday, October 21st as the launch date for the Nokia Lumia 920. At the time, we gave a low rating to the rumor due to two reasons: BGR’s rumor track record (52% on Tracour) and the fact that the date conflicts with other word-of-mouth bits of information.

However, Windows Phone Central has now come across new documentation circulating within AT&T that does indeed confirm the date of October 21st as an important day for the upcoming Nokia flagship phone. This is not the same info that presumably BGR saw (or was told) due to its recency.

Sweden & Belgium get early orders online

Either online stores in Europe are taking advantage of the preorder craze or they know something we don’t about device availability, specifically for Nokia’s new Windows Phone 8 Lumia line.

Such is the case with online Swedish shop Phone House who has the Lumia 920 now listed on their site with a going price of 5799kr with tax and chargers. We’re told by reader elversson that Phone House is normally more pricey than other online retailers so if you have sticker shock, that may be the case (we’re also not sure if prices have been finalized or these are 'guestimates').

We've been informed the Lumia 900 Windows Phone is available to pre-order from Nokia in Brazil. The choice of black, cyan or white is present at a price tag of R$ 1.799,00 (about $880 / £560). The Lumia 900 is Nokia's flagship Windows Phone, sporting a 4.3" AMOLED display (with Clear Black technology), 1.4Ghz CPU, 8MP shooter (with FF camera) and 16GB storage.

No word has been given on the release date (though the website says "buy"), and Nokia's Lumia Momentum Map is of no help. We'll keep you guys posted once more information comes to light. Will you be ordering a shiny new Lumia 900?

You can add Amazon Wireless to the list of third party retailers offering the AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 up for pre-order. While Wal-Mart is offering the new Windows Phone for $49.99, Amazon Wireless has it for a penny (new contracts).

The off-contract price is at $499.99 and upgrade price is at $119.99.  All of which is a little surprising in that Amazon often has a slightly better deal than AT&T's retail stores.  Not always but more times than not.

You do get free two day shipping from Amazon Wireless but there's no indication whether or not you'll receive the new Windows Phone on April 6th.  Amazon Wireless is offering both the cyan and black models of the AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 and this may be an option to consider should if you have an Amazon Gift Card that's collecting dust, we start to see supply issues or if you just feel like charging a penny to one of your major credit cards.

You can find Amazon Wireless's listing for the black Lumia 900 here and the cyan version over here.

AT&T has switched on Lumia 900 pre-orders on their website store, and is offering the 4G Windows Phone for $99 on contract. Should you wish to be aware of another enticing deal, Walmart has the same Lumia 900 listed for just $49.99 (with a 2-year plan), saving $50 on top of the AT&T price. Available to pre-order in both black and cyan, Windows Phone Daily reports that this offer is also eligible for those who seek upgrades.

Interestingly, buying the Lumia 900 outright will set the purchaser back by $499.99--$50 more than AT&T. Should you desire the white version, do note that we expect this version to be available on April 22nd and only in-store at AT&T outlets.

For our friends Down Under, you may want to head to Mobicity's website and take a long hard gander at their new Nokia Lumia 900 preorder page. You can now slap your cold, hard-earned $799 down for your choice of black, white or cyan Lumia 900, fully unlocked. Ka-ching!

What's more, they have a date of "late April" as when to expect your device which puts you right about where AT&T is going to be offering the flagship Nokia phone to US customers.  Guess that rumored 45-day exclusive for us is out the window.

This Lumia 900 has some nice network support too so it should work in most places: GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, 3G 850 (NextG/Vodafone 850/US3G), 3G 1900, 3G 2100.
