While there are a pile of Windows Phone photography apps to help you take quality and sometimes unique pictures with your Windows Phone camera, if you use this camera with regularity, there's one accessory you really need to consider investing in. A tripod and tripod mount.  Okay, so that's actually two but they kinda go hand in hand...

A tripod will help you keep your Windows Phone steady to avoid motion blur with those low light photos, allow you keep your Windows Phone stationary while shooting video and with apps like Camera Timer (free) lets you jump in the picture at times. And we're not talking about a major investment. There are quality tripods out there that range from $20 and higher. Tripod mounts are in the same price range as well.

With launch day and general availability of Surface devices set to begin in a few short days the reviews have started to appear. After months of speculation and mountains of questions about price and specs, we’re finally at the end of this saga. Microsoft have dished out Surface devices to the great and the good for some pre-release exclusives.

Surface represents a few key things for Microsoft, firstly it will be the public face of Windows 8, and secondly it is designed to showcase ARM devices and the new WinRT touch interface. From the moment it was announced this was going to be such a critical element for the entire launch of Windows 8. How well it’s received depends on not only the hardware but also the software. Check out our roundup after the break..

We've had our fair share of Windows Phone app and game roundups here at WPCentral.  The other day Nokia created their own app roundup by asking visitors to their Facebook page to name their favorite Nokia Lumia app. Recommendations quickly filled the Facebook post and after tallying the responses, the results were posted over at Conversations Nokia.

The list was diverse and not necessarily limited to Nokia apps. Here are the top recommendations from Nokia's straw poll.
