DEAL OF THE WEEK: Save 70% on the DICOTA Hard Cover for Nokia Lumia 900!

Tmobile

The Lumia 925 is Nokia's latest Windows Phone, along with the Lumia 928 but many have been concerned that Vodafone appears to have the 32GB version of the Lumia 925, while everyone else has to deal with 16GB of internal storage. It's now come to light that T-Mobile will also be picking up the model with 32GB of storage, which will surely please many to know that it may not be that much of an exclusivity.

You might not know this, but before I was 110% Windows Phone I had a thing for Blackberry. Specifically the Curve 8320. That’s because it had one feature in a smartphone that I absolutely needed back then – Wi-Fi calling. If you’re a Windows Phone fan and hoping to get a phone with Wi-Fi calling you might want to check out the Nokia Lumia 521.

Collect 142,369 online customers service reviews published before March 30, 2013 and what would you expect to find? Are customers more satisfied with their iPhones? Maybe they prefer a Samsung Galaxy something? Nope. A lot of them preferred their Nokia handset across all the carriers here in the U.S.

The Nokia Lumia 810 has been the highest Lumia available to T-Mobile customers since launching back in November. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear like you can get a new one at the moment on the magenta carrier. Windows Phone Central Forum members spotted that only refurbished 810s are available on T-Mobile at the moment. What gives?

The Lumia 810 Windows Phone is a mid-range smartphone that offers a number of features unique to Nokia devices. T-Mobile is pushing the device in the states and the mobile operator currently has a deal in place for those who are looking to invest in some accessories for the Lumia 810. If you purchase a wireless charging stand and shell together, a saving of $60 can be redeemed.

File this under Windows Phone awesome. T-Mobile and AT&T customers who want a wireless charging capable HTC 8X are out of luck, as it's a Verizon exclusive. In addition, some folks may want a black or red version and instead have to settle for “California Blue” or yellow. Don't worry, we've got some good news for T-Mobile and AT&T customers.

HTC and T-Mobile US have both today announced a partnership to provide children with life threatening illnesses and their families the opportunity to visit the Give Kids The World Village (givekidstheworld.org) and spend some time at the nonprofit "storybook" resort. Starting this Friday (November 23rd) through December 31st, those who purchase a HTC 8X from a T-Mobile authorised retailer will have the option to donate $1 of their purchase to Give The Kids World.

This is to help the donation pool to grow up to $75,000 and unlock the potential to provide an invaluable opportunity for a multitude of families. It's fitting that a Windows Phone 8 handset is used in this promotion for the charity as it sports Kid's Corner - a unique feature that enables parents to control exactly what their children have access to on the mobile device.

While it’s not currently possible to check pricing and details of the Lumia 920 on website for both T-Mobile and Orange, it seems Phones 4u may have shed some light on things.

The Nokia Lumia 920, the flagship Windows Phone 8 device is an EE exclusive but will still be available to customers on Orange and T-Mobile. Of course, on standard 3g data plans rather than the brand new 4g plans EE want to push.

We previously looked at the news of an unlocked Lumia 920 working on the T-Mobile US network, but now reports are being published at XDA and beyond that Lumia 920 Windows Phones being sold by Canada carrier Rogers are all carrier unlocked--that's pretty big news, but also it has seemingly been confirmed that it has pentaband support.

File this under surprising but those on T-Mobile US have a little treat waiting for them in the Windows Phone Store: an ad-free version of Words with Friends.

Not only are they getting the game seemingly earlier than anyone else (it’s available right now) this version has no ads within it unlike the version we recently played with on our Lumia 920.

Windows Phone Central forum user KoukiFC3S has managed to get a Lumia 920 running on the T-Mobile US network (reportedly making use of 1700MHz). Purchasing the developer unlocked device online, it was possible for a new account to be created with the carrier and the device to be used with some promising results.

The Nokia Lumia 810 product page is now displayed on the T-Mobile US website. The device, an exclusive variation of the Lumia 820 available on AT&T, is on its way to the carrier but no pricing is yet available. The listing states the Lumia 810 is "coming soon" but we're yet to see any information on availability or how much it'll cost consumers.

We had a quick look at the Lumia 810, which sports a 4.3” OLED WVGA Clear Black display at 800x480 with an 8MP rear as well as a 1.2-megapixel Skype HD certified front-facing camera. In addition, T-Mobile will offer to interchangeable back overs in black or cyan. Hopefulyl we'll have more information soon.

Today T-Mobile announced the Lumia 810, a version of the Lumia 820 that'll be heading to the US carrier. While many would simply assume it's a mere codename alteration, don't be fooled into thinking the same. The Lumia 810 does sport some differentiations that space the device out from AT&T's second Lumia Windows Phone 8 offering.

Because the Lumia 810 is set to arrive in a matter of weeks, we figured it would be a perfect opportunity for discussion to spark. A forum has been designated for threads to be created that cover the new Windows Phone.

We're at the Everything Everywhere (now 'EE') presentation for its announcement of the UK's first LTE network. The company, unveiling its new brand, will be putting EE alongside Orange and T-Mobile to offer consumers a choice of three established names to choose from for unique deals, extras and performance.

Using existing infrastructure, the LTE 4G rollout for the UK is expected to be complete by 2015 with 70% going live by the end of 2013 and 98% in 2014. The transition of both the brand and LTE network begins today, and four cities are having their LTE 'turned on' as we write - London, Birmingham, Cardiff and Bristol.

The Lumia 920 to sport LTE speeds on Orange / T-Mobile UK?

Nokia is reportedly in talks with Everything Everywhere to launch an LTE Windows Phone in the UK, according to the Financial Times. Everything Everywhere is the parent company of both Orange and T-Mobile UK, and has authorisation from UK communications regulator Ofcom to begin using its 1800 MHz spectrum to offer LTE and WiMAX services.

This will bring increased network capabilities to customers of both UK carriers, though which Nokia Windows Phone will be featured to launch on upgraded networks is unknown. Other UK carriers who desire to build up LTE / 4G networks will have to wait until next year, including the likes of Vodafone, O2 and Three. We’re likely to see Apple take advantage of new network speeds with the next iPhone.

According to a second leaked internal memo, T-Mobile US is set to kick off the Windows Phone Refresh (aka "Tango") rollout tomorrow, on June 27th. We previously received word from sources that June 20th was the destined date, but it seems as though the upgrade has been delayed slightly.

The Nokia Lumia 710 is the Windows Phone that will benefit from the update that will be installed via Zune (or the Mac Connector). Internet sharing capability, disappearing keyboard fix, as well as a number of other improvements, are bundled with introduced features which will please those who have been waiting patiently.

Be sure to keep a watchful eye on the lookout for any update notifications.

Thanks, Jacinta, for the tip!

T-Mobile UK are rolling out the Lumia 800 12070 firmware update, according to customers who have received the notification. We received a few comments on our article covering the Three UK roll out last week that T-Mobile still haven't kick-started the process.

As mentioned before, depending on carriers who chose to release it, the 12070 firmware update will be rolled out to new countries on April 4th, 11th, and 18th until the update has been pushed out to every Lumia 800.

The firmware 12070 "battery fix" update will significantly improve available use between charges by optimisation to bring down the discharge rate. We noticed after updating a drop from 200mAh to <100mAh

Let us know in the comments should you also be receiving the update.

Thanks Scott for the tip!

It has been officially announced on the T-Mobile U.S. support forum that the carrier is rolling out the Windows Phone 8107 update out to HTC HD7 owners. The 8107 OS update introduces numerous changes, but the highlight is the fix for the disappearing keyboard bug.

Be sure to check Zune (or the Mac Windows Phone Connector) for the notification. Unfortunately there's still no word on a 8107 rollout date for Lumia 710 owners on the T-Mobile network, though you can hack the handset to receive the update along with new firmware.

This has been confirmed by our readers who have received the update notification on their handsets. Let us know when you get yours in the comments.
