Nokia appears keen on getting the seemingly popular and new to the crowd Lumia 620 into people’s hands. The phone has previously launched in Russia, Thailand, India (available soon), Germany (pre-order) UAE (AED 899) and China.

Now we’ve learned of three more places launching the super colorful and affordable Windows Phone 8 device: Spain, Turkey and it’s even coming to Canada.

Nokia will be unveiling both the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 Windows Phones in Turkey, a market that has seen little marketing carried out by Microsoft and Nokia. According to promotion material, Nokia will be holding a launch event in Turkey on November 21st, which will see both Lumias launched.

While Windows Phone has literally been absent in Turkey, it's good news to hear Nokia is preparing to tap into the market and offer strong alternatives to both the iPhone and Android handsets. It'll be interesting to see if HTC will follow suite in the region, or just how successful Nokia is by the end of the year.

Nerde Bu Otobüs released for Windows Phone

Nerde Bu Otobüs (Turkish for "Where is my bus") is an Istanbul travel app that enables the user to keep track of transport routes across the city (using data provided by İETT - İstanbul Electric Tram and Funicular Company), much like the Dublin BusFinder app we covered last week. Some highlighted features:

  • Covers every bus route in the city.
  • Displays stops on individual routes
  • Displays routes on Bing Maps.
  • Estimated times of arrival are shown per-stop.

A must-have app (which is already available on iOS and Android) developed by university students for anyone who resides in (or is visiting) Istanbul. The app itself is in Turkish. You can download Nerde Bu Otobüs from the Marketplace for free.
