Alan Mendelevich from AdDuplex, the cross-platform advertising network for developers, has been analysing data collected through the company's advertising API and has noticed some anomalies that could well be yet-to-be-announced Nokia hardware. So what could we be seeing at this coming Mobile World Congress?

The Lumia 822 (or Lumia 820 for those of us outside the US) is a Nokia Windows Phone 8 device that sits comfortably next to the Lumia 920, albeit with a few features missing from the specifications sheet. The smartphone is exclusive to Verizon and the US mobile operator has also taken the opportunity to launch a red version of the device for Valentine's Day. This colour, along with grey are currently both sold out.

The Nokia Lumia 822 has already hit the shelves at Verizon in the United States, but this time it's sporting a fancy new red shell just in time for Valentine’s Day. And it’s also available exclusively on their website for a new price - free, with a new two-year contract.

We just got our hands on the new Verizon Samsung ATIV Odyssey and it makes a nice first impression. The Windows Phone has a familiar feel to it that reminds us of the Samsung Focus 2 or maybe a thicker version of the original Samsung Focus.  The ATIV Odyssey joins the HTC 8X and Nokia Lumia 822 on Verizon's Windows Phone lineup.

The 4" Super AMOLED Screen looks nice and the Odyssey feels comfortable in the hand. The Windows Phone is powered by a 2100Mah battery and driven by a 1.5Ghz Dual Core CPU. Add NFC support and a 5MP rear camera and the ATIV Odyssey comes across as a decent mid-level Windows Phone.  The only downside that jumps off the paper is the Odyssey only has 8GB of storage. However it does have a microSD expansion slot and while 8GB may not sound too great, memory shouldn't be an issue.

Here is some good news for everyone on Verizon who can’t wait to get their paws on the Samsung ATIV Odyssey, it could be a week away. This little nugget of information comes from Twitter leakster @evleaks, who has a solid history of being accurate. He (she?) has shown off things in the past like these renders of the Lumia 920 or these of the Lumia 822 and charging pad.

It looks like Samsung was okay with bringing out their recently announced ATIV Odyssey for Verizon Wireless, which was announced today at CES 2013. The phone features a 4” Super AMOLED display, 1.5 GHz dual core CPU, 5MP rear camera and in short feels like a hybrid Focus 2 with a touch of the ATIV S aesthetics on board.

Look, we loved the Focus 2 and we dig some of the chrome of the ATIV S so the ATIV Odyssey, while not for everyone here, is a sharp little device that feels “just right” in the hand. Sure, the specs won’t blow anyone away but they’re not meant too and while it’s not as visually stunning at HTC or Nokia are doing these days, we wouldn’t call it ugly.

We haven’t talked much about the Verizon Lumia 822, the customized Nokia 820 that the massive US carrier picked up a few months ago. The phone seems to have done quite well as we even know a few previous Android users to pick one up. But with the impending launch of Samsung’s entry-level Odyssey, it looks like Nokia is trying to get ahead by cutting its price from $49 to free on contract.

Heading to Verizon’s website we can now see the lower price, which evidently dropped somewhat recently (or we missed it). By comparison, the HTC 8X with its high resolution display (and arguably nicer aesthetics) fetches for $99 on contract.

Verizon Wireless is now offering the HTC 8X Windows Phone for $99.99 after contractual discounts and for $549.99 off-contract.

The online listing shows that the 8X is available in red, black and blue and that this is for the 16GB version of the 8X. Which makes this a very nice deal when compared to AT&T and T-Mobile who are asking $199.99 for the 16GB version of the 8X.

Nokia CEO Stephen Elop has hinted in an interview with CNET that the Finnish company could be planning a flagship Windows Phone for US carrier Verizon. Much like the Lumia 920 deal with AT&T (and EE here in the UK), Nokia may have a device in the works that could well be exclusive to Verizon.
