Following on from our mostly successful launch of v3.8/9 of the Windows Phone Central app, there are a few loose ends to tie up in the code, thus we present the next update, v3.10 for Windows Phone 7 and v3.11 for Windows Phone 8. After a few problems with the store, everything looks to be resolved.

Whilst we're afraid we can't promise any exciting new features, we have resolved several problems, some of which we know were frustrating our community a little! You can pick up the update here in the store (either the free version or paid) or see below for the full changelist, and please consider voting for the app in Microsoft's next app star competition.

It's that time for another From the Forums, which serve to help keep you up-to-date with the latest threads on our Windows Phone forum that begin to drive some traffic. The Windows Phone Central community forum can be a busy place at times, and it can prove difficult to keep up with everything that's being published. We'll highlight a few threads that you may have missed on your travels.

Microsoft has posted a "Best of 2012" app collection in the Windows Phone Store. The "Best of 2012" list includes thirty apps and games such as Wordament, Weave, ARMED!, Weather Flow and a local favorite... the official Windows Phone Central app!

We have to tip our hat to Jay Bennett for burning the midnight oil on several occasions to develop and update a really nice app. We also would like to thank you, our readers, for helping make the app and the website as successful as it is.  2012 has been a whirlwind of a year and it's nice to see it end on such a high note.

Howdy, folks! Welcome to a relatively quiet From the Forums. We hope you've all had a superb day with family and friends. Fortunately, activity on our community forum doesn't appear to show signs of decrease, even up and around the festive holiday. So what's been happening on our forum, while the news has been taking a short break?

It has been an eventful week with Nokia's recent Deadmau5 partnership to bring more Lumia love to London, UK. We managed to turn up and boogie with other attendees while seeing how the Lumia 920 coped with low lighting, high volume levels and bags of movement. As well as a number of news stories appearing on the radar, our Windows Phone forum has been busy as always.

It's another weekend and another From the Forums. We'll be taking a gander at what's been happening through the weekend, presenting you with the latest and greatest discussions that our readers have been engaging in. So what's new in the world of Windows Phone here at Windows Phone Central?

An upcoming Windows Phone meetup is on the horizon, which will take place in St. Louis. According to Rob who organises the events, this will be the last one for the foreseeable future year. But a few tricks are up his sleeve to drive interest to the set location. The plan is to give away a Lumia 900 and Lumia 710 to attendees, which will surely be superb stocking fillers for the upcoming festive holiday.

There aren't many things that I am certain of in this world. But something I know for a fact is that after a big app update, the public are amazing at finding bugs that a developer would miss.

With that simple fact I direct you here to find the v3.1 update to our official Windows Phone app. This is entirely a bug-fixing release which addresses several areas mostly within the forums, a few are listed below...
