Can't decide on which Twitter client to download? There's an upcoming app for that!

Twitter Pinpointer

We've been asked the question, "what's the best Twitter app" countless times. Simply put: there isn't one. Well, not really anyway. App choices are entirely subjective to personal preferences and likes. An app we may recommend may not be up your street and you might have another app installed on a Windows Phone. Unfortunately, since there are a handful of apps out there on the store, it can prove rather daunting as a new user to the platform to locate a Twitter client. Luckily, Liquid Daffodil has released a new app to help with that.

Cue Twitter App Pinpointer.

What the app does is asks consumers 20 simple questions about what they require, like and enjoy from a Twitter experience and filters through the catalogue of Twitter clients available on the Windows Phone Store. This way, there's no requirement to search through the store search and spend hours downloading multiple apps to see which one is perfect for you. There's also a neat way to compare feature lists against one another, just in case you require that functionality to be present.

Pinpointer

Liquid Daffodil is asking consumers to get in touch, test the app out and see how accurate the data is (as well as seeing if any Twitter apps are missing). Should you wish to get involved, be sure to reach out to the team at support@liquiddaffodil.com. If you fire across an email and help the team out with validating data and general testing, you'll also receive the Unlimited Liquid Subscription for free. Not a bad deal (worth $15).

Coming soon to both Windows 8 and Windows Phone.

No link to the app?

Mayur says:

Are you using WPC on your phone?

Bagzton says:

The last line says "Coming soon to Windows Phone."

SMH

Verkunder says:

"You can download Twitter App Pointer from the Windows Store for free."

I'm asking for this link, genius.

flibblesan says:

it's not in the Windows Store yet.

Bagzton says:

Still saying the same thing: Not available yet.

Rich Edmonds says:

Hey guys. Sorry for the confusion. The apps aren't yet available. Updates made to the article before publishing weren't correctly saved. The article has now been updated. Apologies.

lordbebech says:

App to choose right app.... We are not becoming to geeky, Are we?

Mayur says:

Or too lazy to do little bit research ourself?

DigitalDK says:

Just wait for my app that helps you find the right app to help you find the right app.

Mayur says:

lol....to help you find the right right finder app. ;)

dazorange says:

Which Twitter finder app is right for you?

flibblesan says:

Bet it suggests glƏƏk! every time.

Jaco Ra says:

Exactly what I was gonna say

I wouldn't have thought so. It's awful.

jgbstetson says:

I want there to be an app that automatically downloads every app you guys highlight

aitt says:

I don't use Twitter but does it really matter with its token limitation?

LaNiQuE says:

I have a bunch of twitter apps but I just use the official one ever since the update

mrvhin1216 says:

This. The official Twitter is pretty decent now, IMO.

Yes. The notification on the live tile never updates though but that's been like that since WP7. Seemed like there was no support til the Beta got leaked last week. Thought they'd forgotten about it. Just needs a few other niceties like better hashtag support. The stuff that comes with all other third party apps is just fluff.

levelbest says:

*if* it had inline images - it would be usable - but having to click out everytime you want to see what someone is posting image wise stinks.

Aashish13 says:

Any idea our champ Rudy is working with fb app

TLRtheory says:

God, i hope he's working on a Facebook Paper app. I have it on iPhone and it's a beauty... and knowing Rudy, his would be superior to the real thing!

Aashish13 says:

Yeah if he makes that. We wont whine for official fb app. Fb inc has ignored us everytime. They know WP is a good phone needs official apps but such a shame on that company that they cannot release app for us.

Art Hurt says:

Well there is a similar app, it's called booklet, and is pretty amazing if you ask me.

TLRtheory says:

Yeah I've actually been using the booklet beta. It's okay, but there's loads of cosmetic and functional detail that I think our guy Rudy would hit on the nail.

dalydose says:

I wonder if the Tigers can win the World Series this year.

TLRtheory says:

Did Rudy Huyn make one? That's the one I'd use.

He didn't. And yes, if he made one, I'd use it.

if only the official Twitter app was better, we wount have anything to think about. Hope they will update it soon.

The Twitter Beta is meh.

still no in-line media
- No quick replay/ Retweet ... and it takes ages to load fresh tweets.

though, i still prefere it over other 3rd party apps.

blackhawk556 says:

MeTweets, this app is awesome. It took a long time to get an update but over the last two months, it's received at least 3 updates. The quick reply menu and the smart merge/split is awesome

pechio says:

I'm still waiting for one with a timeline on a live tile

md_minhaj says:

Meetweets all the way!

Right now I'm satisfied with gleek

Oh I wonder which twitter apps they're going to recommend to me, Gleek or Cowlick? Hmm....

PureView says:

I've bought nearly all the most popular Twitter clients for Windows Phone and they're all awful. Except for Gleek none supports push notifications. Performance is subpar on almost all of them and the UI leaves a lot to be desired. Only the official client is half decent. However even that falls flat when compared to something like Falcon Pro for Android or Tweetbot for iOS.

JNGold says:

Bingo!  I am primarily an iOS user and have used Tweetbot on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac and now Twitteriffic on the iPhone and iPad.  I just recently purchased a Nokia 521 to play around with 8.1 and I am really dissapointed with the quality of Twitter clients for WP as compared to iOS.  It's almost as even some of the less popular iOS clients are better in terms of features and quality than the best offerings on WP.

Meh, I just use official social media apps.

astroXP says:

Here's a Twitter app I wish it came back: Beezz.

douglasbaiao says:

What's wrong with the official one?? I find it pretty awesone and love it. I just enter on mobile version and download the official one. :P
