Twitter clients working again on Windows 8

Twitter clients running on Windows 8 appear to be working again, which leads us to believe the issues caused by the social network have been resolved. We've received a number of tips from readers who have noticed services being resumed and tweets being published, when using third-party apps on Microsoft's latest version of Windows.

It was only yesterday that we reported on Windows 8 Twitter clients experiencing issues with some functionality. Said problems were said to be caused by 'an unannounced alteration' Twitter has made to its API that breaks a thing or two with actions that use HTTP "POST", such as authentication, sending tweet / retweets up to the sky.

We've just attempted to send a tweet out in Tweetro, which sent without issues, so it seems as though we're good to go. Do let us know should you still be experiencing problems with Windows 8 Twitter clients.

This is just a small heads up for those dedicated Sunday Twitter users. Thanks to everyone who gave the heads up!

Approximately how many apps are available for download on W8???

husfus says:

No. It's about 9000

sepatown says:

I really don't know if you're joking or not but that number doesn't mean anything. Worldwide there are approximately 10,000, here on my Surface (US), I get about 5500, but on my laptop (Windows 8 Pro), I get about 6000 (Desktop apps included).

rockstarzzz says:

10,000? :O
No way!!

rockstarzzz says:

I bet they only had 1600 on 26th! WPC even wrote it somewhere

I tried the Surface on the mall, and I'm sold. I'm buying one as soon as I can. I started to save money .. I'm only 17 people.

What? I'm sharing my experience. ._.

Ticomfreak says:

I'm already saving for the Surface Pro for my birthday, and the Lumia 920 for Christmas...:)

Never had a problem with Rowi

Never Never had a problem with Rowi.

jabtano says:

I used Rowi the past two days on Win8 it does not hold a candle to Gleek! the features in Gleek are really nice and the app is wicked smooth. I have both Gleek and Cowlick on my WP7 device and just gleek on my win8 rig both to me are outstanding twitter apps. in fact I think Gleek should be the offical Win8 twitter app.
