Top lists is a new feature that helps you discover the best wines in your area. You can find wines based on user ratings with lists updated weekly. You'll also discovered lists that are curated by experts.

The app has been updated to more accurately report nearby results and searches. You'll also notice a new grouping that organizes wine tailored to your taste in every location.

Major cities, like San Francisco and Copenhagen, will see verified wine lists at major restaurants. Other cities will soon follow.

Overall, a nice update to Vivino Wine Scanner on Windows Phone. What are you drinking tonight?

I sometimes say that after the first sip, each additional swallow is just the means to the goal.

Apps like this are for true connoisseurs of vineyards and vintages. Good hobby, expensive, but surely rewarding.

Sounds like a cool app & a nice update.
I'll be drinking a milkshake (No Booze for me lol) what about you?

This app has gotten me off CellarTracker. Have about 40 "cellared" wines and another 30+ in the "drink me now" wine fridge. CT was always overkill since we generally only buy sampler cases or quick consumption purchases. Ever since using untappd for beer I've longed for a major wine network to go 1-5* rating over the ridiculous 100 point scale. Haven't had a bottle fail to scan yet. Do wish I could do a tad more with the storage aspect (construct my layout grid and visualize wine as stored).

In curious, does it only recognise American wines. I'm from South Africa, which as you may know, is wine heaven haha this app may proof very helpful

No, it works wonders also in Europe, including German Whites, Spanish Reds etc. Also South Africa and Australia are well represented.

The good thing is, if a wine is not automatically recognised, you can add it manually, or wait 'til it gets hand scanned by the People at Vivino. With the Pro version you can also cut the queue ;-)

This is awesome! I had no idea an app like this existed. I'm sure this will quickly become one of my most used since my camera roll is full of wines I've tried and liked.
