Vodafone DE store confirms November 1st as Nokia Lumia 920, 820 release date

Lumia 820 920

A Vodafone store located in Baden-Württemberg, Germany has confirmed on its Facebook page that both the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 will be available from November 1st. Being only 17 days away, there's still Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 event on October 29th to get through first, but it's good to know there's not much longer to wait out.

Nokia's Apollo hardware will not only be available from Vodafone in Germany on the first day of next month, but also Media Markt. The latter has already revealed November 1st as the release date, which we covered yesterday. It's good to see more than one source to look at when checking pricing to make the best investment.

Vodafone DE Lumia

Unfortunately no pricing was revealed. Meanwhile in the US, AT&T is looking at November 4th as the launch date of the Lumia 920 where the Windows Phone will be available in-store and online. Pricing for the handset on AT&T will be made available before the Windows Phone event. As for the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 in Europe, we'll have to wait and see.

YES BABY! I'll buy it at day one from Media Markt and use it on o2 Germany.

Microsoft, Nokia and Vodafone are treating Greece like a third-world country. They are not launching the two lumias before January. I'm so angry. Meanwhile Jelly Bean has been in Greece for some time now. I'm loyal to Microsoft but i don't think i speak for the majority of consumers here. Clearly Microsoft and Nokia have no respect for this country and i can't see why local consumers should have any respect for these companies and their products either

Jelly Bean was announced something like 4 months ago. I'm pretty sure Greece will get WP8 faster than it got JB.

The same goes to Croatia as well. Unless Vip (Vodafone) surprises us with Lumia 920 in November (which I highly doubt), new Nokia phones will be available during Q1 2013. :(

Here in Sweden Telenor have already given both date and price:
I'll compare to iPhone 5 here...
Date of release for Lumia 920 November 1st.
Buy phone unlocked
Lumia 920, 6 000 SEK (900 US Dollar)
iPhone 5 32GB, 11 496 SEK (1722 US Dollar)
On 2 year contract
Lumia 920, 339 SEK /Month (50 US Dollar)
iPhone 5 32GB, 479 SEK /Month (71 US Dollar)
These prices will make me laugh every time I see an iPhone 5 user…. :-)
