Oh no grasshopper. You must snatch the pearl from my palm first.

Lol. I'm sure they're fabulous. Just messin with you Sam.

NIST recommends Culture Club....
.........
"Do you really want to hurt NIST, Sam? Do you really want to make him cry???""""

there's a free and exclusive first look at the new tv series "Gotham" (a story about the origins of the Batman, a young detective Jim Gordon, and the rise, ethos of some of Gotham City's most notorious) available on Xbox video worth checking into!

Monday, or Tuesday...
........
Actually, that huge update, with the live tile, was supposed to come "in a few weeks"... That was mentioned one week before the last update two weeks ago... So, yeah.. We might see a big update next week... But, tomorrow would be nice❗❗❗

Xbox Video has the first episode of House of Cards for free, if you don't have Netflix and want to see what all the hoopla is about.

Definitely check the trailers/info/reviews about it before you see it, it's not a movie for everyone.

I'm taking these for a spin tonight. It's about time I give Xbox music, and Video an equal opportunity. Thanks Sam for the review.

Xbox Music is my primary go to service. I can play the exact song i want and download and pin the whole cd to listen to whenever I want. All other services (Slacker, lastFM, Mix Radio...) are just a mix radio of similar sounding artists. Plus all my download are synched across my Windows devices. I wish for additional features but overall it works pretty damn well.

Same here, been a subscriber since Zune and once I converted to just use the cloud service with Xbox music I no longer had issues. All my devices plays off the cloud except my phone which I download for offline play during business flights and the beauty is everything is synced all the time regardless of where I download my music. Could there be more features? Sure, especially gapless playback which is annoying when listening to Pink Floyd, but I've never had an issue with performance.

I just wish I could stream my OneDrive music collection from Windows Media Player in desktop mode on Windows 8.

I paid for a year of XBox Music, but ended up restarting my Spotify subscription after a month. Maybe I have eclectic tastes or something, but personally I find XBox Music's library to be lacking. I also noticed that tracks in my playlists were constantly shifting in and out of availability on XBox Music....drove me batty replacing and constantly looking for alternate versions. This happened a lot on RDIO as well, but never seen this on Spotify. I loved the Zune service, but this just doesn't get it for me....yet. I remain optimistic =)

I can't say I've had that issue. I know that 99% of the songs I have Cortana tag are available in the Xbox Music store and with my 10 free downloads a month, I'm able to have quite a collection.

Would like to see xbox music give the option for downloads at a higher but rate than the 192kbps that it currently is. Hopefully that will be added at some point.

ok so just listened to the whole spark album and omg you really see the effort in it like it's just so much more meaningful than anything mainstream X_X

They mean live tile as in tile that would show currently playing instead of just being a static tile.

Here in Romania the Xbox music and Xbox videos are just some plain apps that play music and videos stored on my SDCard, just that.

I have an eclectic taste in music and subscribe to XBox Music because it's a great way to explore all types of music. However, I purchase my mp3s from Amazon. I don't understand Xbox Video, like XBox Music, purchase prices are high and many titles cannot be rented. Also on WP, videos only in SD. All my digital purchases of music and videos are purchased on Amazon and in HD, because they have the lowest prices and for now, I pay no sales taxes. I'm in a MSFT ecosystem and am also an Amazon Prime member...

I wish there were an easier way to search for movies and music on sale, sort by price, buy bundles, etc.

Wish Xbox music had a song popularity ranking. For example, rank songs in an album by popularity, I think Spotify might have this, I know Zune used to have this. Need to start uservoice post.
