Windows Phone Central's E3 2012 Weekend Trailer Roundup

E3 2012 – the Electronic Entertainment Expo kicks off with Microsoft’s press conference this Monday, June 4. We’ve already outlined our predictions and plans for the event, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing new to share right now. A number of developers have released trailers of the console games they’re showcasing at E3 ahead of time.

First up is Skulls of the Shogun from Haunted Temple Games and Microsoft Studios. Skulls is a beautiful and fast-paced strategy game that’s scheduled to arrive on Xbox Live Arcade, Windows 8, and Windows Phone as an Xbox Live title. We’ll be playing it at E3, so look forward to our impressions!

Head past the break for a big batch of E3 Xbox 360 game trailers!

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 from Mercury Stream and Konami:

We’ll definitely be checking out Konami’s booth next week. As our Castlevania Puzzle review reveals, I’m a huge Castlevania fan.

Hitman Absolution from Square Enix:

Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 from City Interactive:

I don’t see this one topping Sniper Elite V2, which I recently reviewed for Co-Optimus. But its modern-day, faster-paced approach could be fun too.

Tomb Raider Crossroads from Square Enix:

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance from Platinum Games and Konami:

Woefully silly subtitle aside, we’re definitely looking forward to trying this one out.

Of Orcs and Men from Spiders (developer) and Cyanide:

Quantum Conundrum from Airtight Games and Square Enix:

Looks a bit like Portal crossed with a slightly uglier Totoro, doesn't it?

Doom 3 BFG Edition from id Software and Bethesda:

Here’s a FPS remake I’m very excited about. Now if id would just port their iOS Doom games to Windows Phone…

Skyrim ‘Dawnguard’ from Bethesda:

Our own George Ponder and legions of RPG fans are sure to enjoy this upcoming DLC expansion pack for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Once again, Windows Phone Central’s E3 2012 coverage will start on Monday, June 4th and run throughout the week. Stop by often and/or follow the e3 2012 tag for all of this year’s stories.

Yeah, E3!:-D

I was just about to say that :)

ValinEndac says:

Hopefully we see a lot of cross platform play between Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, and Xbox 360.

mmoses1978 says:

Keep them coming.

Hiiiiiiiii says:

Why even post the non WP trailers?
I was excited for a moment and then disappointed and pissed

Paul Acevedo says:

You may not have noticed, but we cover some Xbox 360 and Windows 8 games and news in addition to our main focus of Windows Phone. They're all part of the same ecosystem and appeal to many of the same readers. I'll try to tweak the article a bit to avoid confusion though.

Welve says:

E3 is a big deal and with MSFT going for the triple screen there is a chance everything is relevant. Not only that, but E3 is a major gaming event and Microsoft is THE gaming platform with xBox and the PC. I realize this is technically a phone blog, but this stuff is important to the whole ecosystem and most readers heavily invested in Microsoft products enjoy seeing it :).

ValinEndac says:

I enjoy reading about the Windows 8, and to a lesser extent the Xbox 360 news. I am probably just as excited about the possibilities Windows 8 is going to bring, as I am about Windows Phone 8.

I am currently dual booting Windows 7 & Windows 8 on my PC, and I have to say I am extremely pleased with Windows 8 thus far.
It is even smoother than Windows 7, and that is a major accomplishment in itself.

IceDree says:

What no GTA V ??????
C'mon Rockstar games, throw us a bone or anything?
We are dying here !!!!!!

GTA V is not even out for consoles yet

Menzlo says:

Which is exactly why he wants a trailer for it. Why would he ask for the trailer if it was already out?

Paul Acevedo says:

Rockstar could still tease GTA 5 at the event. Not everybody puts out trailers before the show starts.

DavidinCT says:

GTA 5 is something I am really waiting for too, you'll have to wait for Rockstar games to show something not Microsoft but I think you WILL see something this week

Welve says:

I hope you guys do a lot of coverage! Maybe an E3 Gaming tag will help avoid confusion, but I don't like a lot of the gaming blogs or sites nearly as much as this site.

thenet says:

Yup going to e3 Monday glad it's located in LA Ca :-]

One thing I love about wp7 is how great games like this one look, way better than on my sensation & iPhone 4. The graphics are just amazing
