Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer eyes up a developer in the audience

Windows Phone developer registration has opened up in 13 new markets, according to a blog post published on the Windows Phone Developer Blog. Small improvements and enhancements are being periodically applied to the Dev Center, which today includes further market adoption bundled with over 100 fixes and changes.

So what countries are now also supported by Microsoft for Windows Phone development? Afghanistan, Albania, Andorra, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Mongolia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Timor-Leste. Those who reside in these countries will be able to register a Dev Center account and submit applications to the Windows Phone Store.

Windows Phone development is officially supported in 191 markets. The added markets (as well as site improvements) will take a few days to roll out.

While increase the supported markets that's a great news! But, at backend, please improve the speed of apps certification process! No developers want to wait for a day to get apps sign, and week to get it approved!

Every country has developers, here is one from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Microsoft is here very present and we have really often developer meetings and activities. The last activity here on the Balkan was is in Montenegro so it is not all to the USA...

I was front and center when that picture was taken. He was really sick, running a fever, losing his voice but kept going.
