Geert van der Cruijsen, a Windows Phone development enthusiast, has created a skin switcher which can be used to easily alternate between community created themes when developing apps for the platform. The software is beta, so all feedback is welcome (comments on his blog or via Twitter). The download package includes not only the skin switcher, but the following skins too:

I tried this, but after applying any of the themes, the back button stopped working! Then when I tried to apply the origina default theme, it gives an error about one of the BMP missing and crashes the emulator.

back button not working was only with the lumia 800 black skin. i've fixed that and a new version is already online at the same link.
