Windows Phone Game Review: Line Runner
Line Runner is a fast paced game for your Windows Phone that looks great and will keep you on your toes. Line Runner has you controlling a stick figure that is running along a line. You have to jump over and roll under a series of obstacles for as long as you can. Hit an obstacle and lights out. The further you run, the higher your score.
You control your running stick figure by tapping the lower right corner of the screen to have him jump and by tapping the lower left corner of the screen to have him roll. If you tap and hold the jump control, your runner will jump a little higher.
Line Runner's main menu has options to access the game's settings, view the gaming tutorial, and view the game's online leaderboard. Options cover sound on/off and whether or not you want a grave marker to pop up when the runner bites the dust.
Line Runner has ten different tracks to choose from including a training track that moves along at a slightly slower (although challenging) pace. All in all, Line Runner is a fun game to pass the time with. I like the graph paper back drop and the sound effects are.... well... effective. The game play is simple but the pace keeps things challenging and from getting too stale.
Line Runner is a free game that you can grab here at the Windows Phone Marketplace.
