Is Windows Phone 'Mango' 7.5 or not?

Read into that slide what you will, but it sure looks to us like Microsoft is calling 'Mango' Windows Phone 7.5, at least internally.

However, when we asked Andrew Clinick from Microsoft, he said that it was a "mistake" calling it 7.5 in that slide and that they haven't decided on what they are calling it yet. So backtrack/covering or legit position? We have no idea, but figured it was worth mentioning, at the very least.

I hear in some circles they're calling it Windows Phone 7 Vaporware Edition.

NOT TRUE...it is supposed to be Windows Phone 7 Vaporware Edition FOR MOBILE

The build numbers that are floating around would seem to indicate that Mango will be 7.1, not 7.5.

I am, gladf they are working on 7.5 I hope they are tgesting the c**p out of no do and make it a go before the end of April or ATT folks may change the name to NOGO!

what would have been nice was would have been to either keep us in the dark or if yoiu are going to say updates are coming to have started the "tale" a whoile lot earlier and kepp us advised on progress and perhaps issues. I think that setting out a timetable which is not met does more damage than keeping us in the dark at least for the "phanatic techies" So now that we have a schedule ATT stick to it or let us know and look up the definition of early April!
