Windows Phone photo editor Phox updated with new filters and user interface tweaks

Phox is a straightforward Windows Phone photography app that lets you crop, add creative filters, and share your creations with friends and family.  The app was recently updated to version 1.5, which adds a few changes to the user interface and a handful of new filters.

You now have a home button that returns you to Phox’s start page after you have save or shared your image.  This may not sound like a huge change but it does eliminate the need to repeatedly tap the Windows Phone Back Button when you need to return to the start page.

Other user interface changes includes the removal of the shuffle control feature that was intended to allow the stacking of filters but never got the hang of things.  Additionally, you can now swipe to the right when you are on the effect page to pull up Phox’s save and share options.

To make up for the loss of the shuffle feature, the developer has expanded the filter set from eleven to forty-nine effects filters.  You will also find an extra ten picture frames with the version 1.5 update.

Phox is an appealing photo editor for your Windows Phone and the latest update irons out a lot of the bugs and glitches the initial release had.  Phox is a free app available for Windows Phone 8 and 7.x devices.

You can pick up your copy of Phox here in the Windows Phone Store.
