Windows Phone is sexy and you know it [Video]

Scott Davies has created a mix'n'mash Windows Phone fan advert that takes all the best bits from multiple samples of official videos. A more up beat attempt at promoting the OS, good job. If this approach isn't your cup of tea, then perhaps we can excite you with the official Mango video?

This one, like most other WP7 fan made or MS made adds, runs too fast. If you want to look at the phone and the text, you get lost at the beggining, which creates a bad experience. Remove it - it just creates confusion.

Why cant we get THAT phone? Its always shown everywhere but it dosnt exist! It looks really nice...

It looks like it's just a CG model of a Samsung Focus, not exactly a rare device (as long as you live in the US).

I was hoping for some wiggle wiggle wiggle, lol

I believe the fan made stuff is better than the microsoft made ads.Microsoft should take the fan developed stuff and make TV spots that says something like. "We tried to make a phone that was simple and easy and did not get in the way of what you needed to do....here is what some of our fans think about what we have done....que [a series of fan inspired ads]"A lot of people would appreciate the fact that so many people liked the phone they made their own ads. Then feature a website where fans can upload their own ads thus making it social.I don't care for the current ads and I agree with r0ker, these ads are too fast compared to the Apple iPhone ads

Steppa.Sound says:

Nice Ad, but it runs too fast (just as the other posters have stated. Since it's a web ad, why not stretch the run time to 30 sec? If the creator wants to keep it a short run time, then use that time to focus on each one of the "hubs". e.g.:Start the camera from the screen saver, take a picture, update that picture to FB,switch to "Me" tile showing your updates and other peoples comments on your picture, click on a commenter (e.g. your wife) to see their photo stream directly on your phone etc.THis would show the way WP7 just flows within in the OS and not the in/out of apps experience of the other OS's.

Now thats a great idea! This is what ads should be like! It is really hard to follow the text and the pictures, so ads should have just a visual presentation of what a user in the add is doing, something that doesnt require additional explanation, just like Steppa.Sound suggests!!

Someone WOKE UP! They used a POPULAR song! This is what we need to energize the primary target audience. Bring us more! I am pumped! This is the FIRST decent Windows Phone commerical I've seen.

That Windows Phone is **** and it knows it!

Is s e x y really a bad word?

Decent ad. Nothing awesome though. Also, there are quite a few issues with WP7 still, even with mango out. I noticed the other day, that even though ie9 is html5 enabled, but if you go to nytimes, the videos on the homepage still need flash to play. On the iphone, nytimes loads the html version of the site. But not with wp7. I've tried playing with the settings of ie but it doesn't help. This is true for many websites. Plus, the youtube experience is horrible. There is an absolute need for a native youtube client. That needs to be worked out with google. Also, there is the problem of youtube links in email opening in the browser and taking you to the youtube webpage needing flash. It's not a good experience. I support wp7, so I tolerate it...but new users will not take this lightly. Another ex of html5 is the web version of gmail. It's awesome on the iphone...but on wp7, it loads a jaded old mobile version of gmail.

imho...WP7 ads still mediocre in comparison to Apple or even android. It's just doesn't seem to connect with people.

I don't want to see a floating phone doing things. I want to see a user doing an everyday task with with device and how it can be accomplished seemlessy using a wp7 device. We've seen enough of this type of commercial. Does anyone know how to get in touch with Belfiore??? He need to get his head out of his @ss and promote the phone properly. I would have told him this by now, but you can't send a personal email on twitter unless he's following you.
