Windows Phone spotted in new movie trailer for 'The Canyons'

A star is born

Hey, who you calling cheap?

The Canyons (IMdB) is a new film coming out in 2013 from writer Brett Easton Ellis (American Psycho), long-time director Paul Schrader (American Gigolo, Affliction) and stars Lindsey Lohan. The new trailer is a spoof off of 1970’s grindhouse, low budget films, which is sort of interesting but of course what caught our eye is the Windows Phone.

Sure, product placements are a dime a dozen but it’s still kind of neat to see what looks to be a Lumia 710 (?) used for a key scene in the movie.  Exposure is exposure. Full trailer is after the break. Thanks, HikiSpray, for the tip

Windows Phone spotted in new movie trailer for 'The Canyons'

Actually it's kind of unfortunate that a Windows Phone is shown along the text of "...cheap as the budget."

As far as Lohan is concerned, I guess a paycheck is a paycheck. It's not that she gets tons of movie offers.

Sure there's exposure, but I don't think anyone will go buy a WP after watching this. No one but us Windows Phone geeks will probably even know this is a Windows Phone.

Two phones, neither looks like a 710.  The first one where you see the screen looks like it has squared corners, like a 800 or 900.  The second one (the one where you see the edge) has the same shape as the 710, but the gray battery cover is covering more than the 710's batter cover does AND the buttoms on the front look like they belong to a Nokia running Symbian.

What the hell...
Anywho, I also just recently spotted a magenta Lumia 800 (or Lumia 900?) in an episode of "Parks and Recreation"--for those who watch this awesome show, it was when Ben and April get stuck in traffic while enroute to Pawnee (hillarious episode btw!)

Jean Deen is a porn star, and Lindsay seems to be declining.
The last week in an episode of Castle on AXN Latin America, he showed his phone and is a Windows Phone, and seeking an astronomical observatory

Every little bit helps (although I despise product placement). Here are the WP sales rankings on bestbuy.com. Hopefully this time next month we can see some new phones!

Yes I know. There's a Lumia 800 up there n  the "another" is Symbian ( Nokia 701) n not Lumia 710. Y every video we have to spot is as a Lumia? Nokia also produce Symbian devices. n  I come again! :) TQSM!

Well...its not your fault. Youre not the one who wrote this entry. This entry maybe suitable to be put in Nokia Conversation, thenokiablog.com, etc....  :)
I say: Thanks, HikiSpray, for the tip.
