We're giving away a T-Mobile Nokia Lumia 710! All you need to do is snap a photo with your Windows Phone, post it in this WPCentral Forums discussion and we'll select the best photo out of the bunch to take home the Lumia 710.
Sounds easy right?
Here's the fine print. Only one entry per reader and the photo must be taken by a Windows Phone camera (we'll stretch it to any smartphone camera). The photo theme - Black and White. You can submit a photo of people, places or things but it needs to be presented in black and white (grayscale to some). You can use apps such as Thumba or Fhotoroom to convert the picture to black and white or use desktop software (e.g. Photoshop) to take care of things. Image size? Keep it around 5x7 at 72 dpi.
You have until February 24, 2012 until 5:00pm CST to submit your photos. Give us a few days to judge everything and one lucky contestant will win the Lumia 710 and one runner up will walk away with a $75 gift certificate to the WPCentral Store.
Good luck everyone!

"we'll stretch it to any smartphone camera" So I can use my Nokia N8? I don't have a WP and want one!
Is this US only?
Whether it is or not, I think it'd be safe to assume this phone is locked to T-Mobile US anyway.
Yeah that's a good point.
would that really matter...just unlock it for 15-20, and use it where ever you want:)
Any love for Canada?
"Image size? Keep it around 5x7 at 72 dpi."
What resolution does that work out to be?
inches x dpi = pixels
5 inches x 72 dpi = 360 pixels
I work in video post, and deal with ad agency types who don't work with pixels at all. Even when they do web page mockups, they talk in 2" at 72 dpi, which is frustrating, because it's an arbitrary number from the print medium and irrelevant to video/web. :)
PS: I'd also like to know if this is US only.
5x7" @ 72 dpi = 360x504px
I suppose I could have figured out that math if I thought about it for 5 seconds.
How do I even make such a small picture with my Windows Phone?
Sorry... old darkroom print photographer who still uses inches as diminsions and dpi. Force of habit.
No restrictions on where you live just keep in mind that this phone is T-Mobile branded. No guarantees if it works outside the U.S.. The runner-up prize will work outside the U.S.
Any problem if people want to round up to 640 x 480 since that's the smallest pic a Windows Phone will take?
No problem. I used "around 5x7" to avoid having to judge smaller images.
I'll see if the cuteness of my little boy can get me a 710 for my wife.
Do i need to post photo in my desktop only??
Will the 710 be one of the black and white versions or will it be a colour one?
It is the black model
T-Mobile...dammit. :-/
Ooo. Sounds fun!
DAMN - don't have a Windows Phone to take the photo with :( and
DAMN - I live outside the US :(
no luck today
We sure we're doing 72 dpi?
Even at 640x480 it's tiny.
The picture is super tiny on my 1080p monitor.
Can't we just post what ever was native from the phone? It's not like those files are that big anyways.
Just posted my entry.
Gotta love picture competitions :D
Have you guys announced a winner yet?
