Xbox LIVE title ilomilo gets a Mango update

It's been awhile since we've seen ilomilo get an attention. In fact the premier launch game hasn't been touched since February when it received a hefty update, including a whole new story. The popular puzzle game is a great example of an original title for the platform, with great level design and a well executed UI (see our review). One could argue it's one of the best Xbox LIVE titles out there.

Unfortunately while version 1.2 does bring Mango support e.g. fast-app switching (perhaps 60 FPS), no new story was added nor any bells and whistles ala ringtones. In fact, we haven't seen any other changes, but like always we'll get a full changelog as soon as we can and let you know.

Anyways, for those who want it, you can grab the new version right here in the Marketplace. Thanks, Harry, for the tip!

Too bad they haven't added any more new levels but defiantly the best game on WP7.

I could imagine I would pick it up on DoTW I already on the 360 version which I'm yet to finish...

Too bad there's no new levels. I've been finished with this game for a long time but have been itching to play it more. Hopefully this update is a sign of things to come.

Love this game, I wish I would work with the XBL game.

The only xbox live title that desperately needs updating is fruit ninja!! Come on the framerate is terrible!! I made the mistake of buying it without trying it because i thought it would be the same as the one on my ipod. Played it twice since i purchased it. And i cant believe it has a 5 star rating on the mareketplace!! Are people blind?? Or am i too picky?

Perhaps is it because you have something to compare it to. I've purchased Fruit Ninja and have been very happy with it. But I'll admit I've never seen or played the iPhone version.Frame rate for me has been okay, its not slicky smooth, but it no way is the game not playable. I would love to see more XBL titles add Mango support just for the fast app switching, if the frame rate improves than that is just had extra bonus.

First game I purchased, and I have zero issues with it. I do have issues with a few other titles, and the lack of updating. All games/xbox live need that mango treatment. Angry birds is a big title that needs the love. I hate playing it, getting a text, read said text, and try to go back to Angry and it has to reload instead of jumping back in where I left off. Some not so major xbox live games have already fixed that aspect.

Literally right after I finished it. Oh well. :-)

Hold on, unless I'm mistaken, there are new levels via book 2
